so im sitting in class thinking will there ever be a time machine then i thought wait it cant exist because if it did we would already know theres a time machine so then im thinking well if we havnt invented it yet when we do will we know about it because that certain point in time hasnt happened yet so if we did know about it we would have to invent 1 first and if you did make a machine you would have to travel back in time in the same spot u are in so if u do and there is an old building there what if you get stuck in a wall like apear but then splat cuz u get crushed but it depends on the machine really if you think about it it could have location set on it and a certain place in time but that is far out there and we couldnt go into the future really because it hasnt happened yet so you can not travel through history with out it happening yet so you would have to just go back but then you couldnt go forward if you go back? and if i did travel to the past and say saw me traveling what would happen if i shot my past self it would be an infinite loop?
so this hole thing is messing with my mind so is it possible? think about this logically i really would like to see an answer

I also heard that if we ever get to the speed of light (Or somewhere close), then if we send some astronauts into space on a 5-minute trip or something (Can't remember how long), then for them, that amount of time will be that amount for them, yet actually 500 years or something would've gone by for Earth.

Rex's brother did it, though he was only sent 6 years into the future.

i kinda shift more towards the multiple timeline thing, where like we're in 1 time period, and if time travel was done, we could alter a point in time, thus creating another timeline...it's still confusing me though, my brain hurts

Reasons why I don't make promises:
1. Something might come up and prevent me from fulfilling my promise.
2. Forgetting.
3. Someone from the future messes it up.

Well, we don't know how time actually works or if it has a structure, etc.
It could just be a human plan for organisation and might not actually exist in
a technical way. Humans just observed a system to explain the sequence of
events they observe.

I always thought time travel would be possible and that it would involve black holes.
(Don't ask, I can't remember why I thought that, I was in primary school and might have heard
something on a science programme, not sure.)

BUT, if we don't count phenomena such as paradoxes, alternative timelines, parallel
timelines and universes, non-linear structure of time, etc. then
there is really no evidence to suggest that time travel exists or will exist
because there have been no obvious changes in the sequence of events
in our time. However, would we actually know there was a change in time?
Wouldn't it just be like the change happened for the first time?
Like data overwriting previous data instantly.
Also, there could be the chance that, in the future,
future people may come up with a law that states no one is to tamper with the past.
Ah whatever.

It's been suggested (mostly by conspiracy theorists) that
alien technology (e.g. some apparently found in the Roswell incident)
reverse engineered has resulted in VERY fast progression of technology just a year or two later or something.
E.g. broadband.
Or it could be our future selves that mutated and came to the past to tell them to HURRY UP
AND MAKE INTERNET IN TIME FOR XTREME FF IN 2009! (Or was it 2010?)

If only Einstein was alive and Steven Hawking was better (in his condition I mean)
then maybe they would have really helped with our understanding of potential time travel.
Of course, there are so many geniuses on Earth but...with distractions such as music, video games,
etc. I don't think we are using fulfilling our potential for producing the most advanced geniuses possible.
When I was a kid, I had MAD SKILLZ in science and fairly good skills in art (started drawing oval faces way before anyone else, when they still were drawing unrealistic circle faces)
and then my intelligence went DOWNHILL when I was 10 or 11 due to depression and music, probably.
Oh how painful life is.

@X: Yeah, imagine! Einstein and Hawking together! It would be like Dexter and Prof. Utonium!

Though Einstein died in the 60's I think, so maybe they worked together at SOME point. Then again, Hawking was probably 10 or something at that time.

Anyway, right now, the 2 closest things we can get to getting a time machine soon are:

1. Waiting for our decedents to come to this time and bring time travel to us.
2. Alien invasion. Probably more specifically a Galvan invasion. They have level 20 tech.

Ok, so maybe only the Omnitrix is level 20. I dunno. But who's to say the Galvan don't actually exist?
