Note: CartoonNetwork, my intentions are honourable and do NOT include
using game elements for commercial purposes so don't get mad about this concept.
Nostalgic fan game/animation projects should be non-commercial and just for fun. Smile


Note: Ok firstly, let me just say, I'm not entirely sure if any of the software
used in this tutorial are completely safe, (Cheat Engine and 3D Ripper DX/Game Assassin, etc.) so you'll have to judge yourself
and scan everything you download or have downloaded and plan to use.

EDIT: Alternative options:

But if you really can't use cheat engine (but can use 3D Ripper DX, GameAssassin or similar 3D ripping/scanning software)

then you could try doing the floating glitch or just falling from a height and then capturing whilein mid air to get a good T-Pose rip.

Or if you can't use any of the software, then you could either ask me or

someone else trustworthy (FF is closing...but still...) that knows how to do itand they can get a good T-Pose rip of your character.

OR if you don't want to do that either, you could go in game
with me and jump from a height and I could capture your character's model in mid air.
(Hopefully capturing a T-Pose.)

Honestly, I don't know whether to fully trust any of these softwares
but I haven't had visible problems and I've had them for at least many weeks, if not months
and it has got me results.
As a precaution, I personally would block the internet connection of
those software. Not sure if I did that yet.
But if any of you don't want to do it, ask me or someone else they trust and knows how to do it. Smile
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Also, if you don't care about having a T-Pose (really, that's better)
and just want any kind of rip of your character, I can capture your 3D model
while being in game. (Even better, I think it's possible to get a good T-Pose if your character
is doing the floating glitch or is falling from a height. I can't confirm if this works
because I haven't checked many captures, I'm running out of time and there are
TONNES of captures on my hard drive. I don't know where to start. Crying or Very sad )

It's not too hard, I hardly ever used Cheat Engine (once or twice I was tempted to jump like I was on the Moon...
but I was still virtually very new to Cheat Engine and still am. I had to get info from Eperty/iMan007 and Wiltilt.)

If you want to choose the option of me doing it for you,
just PM me your account details (if possible, change your password so I never knew
your original password...it's probably just better that way and maybe less embarrassing to you maybe I dunno.)
And tell me what clothes combination you want and if you want to be holding
a weapon too. (I'll capture without weapons too though.)
And tell me if you want all the characters captured or just one of them or whatever.

Just found out with Cody's account, no textures were ripped.
I don't know what I did wrong...
But I have to do Cody's again.
I'll have to check if Pawnzor's textures were ripped.

EDIT: Ok Pawnzor's is fine and I redid Cody's.
Textures are working now I think.
Adding textures a little confusing/glitchy though for me. :/

Maybe we should all go online in a non-laggy small area (inside dexlabs? I dunno)
and take a 3D rip like that? Jump from the upper area and hopefully all have T-Pose
rips? Smile

Just to let everyone know,
the reason this is taking SOOOOO LONG (ripping everyone's characters)
is because 3D Ripper DX keeps forgetting to rip textures GAHHHHHHHHHUHKHUKHIuhuhojkhjhhljoisjliougcgtfgswfwf!!!
Otherwise, it would have taken mere seconds to rip one character. Frown
Just need to do Kaleb's now I think.

Also, since this is taking forever, I'll worry about sending people their character models
later because I need to still rip stuff and FF hasn't got much time so... Misery

Okay! I fixed the textures! All you have to do (if you have 3Ds Max), is to add a 'Normal' modifier to flip the inwards stuff outwards.

But I wasn't able to fix my rig... No weighting colors are applied when adding the skin modifier. Have any of you tried to rig and got it working?study

I've rigged my character and got OK results even though it wasn't a T-Pose.
So, if I started to rig my T-Pose (which I haven't done yet)
maybe I would get a pretty decent rig.  Smile 

The animations I made with the non-T-Pose model were far from
professional (especially since I have fairly little experience in Blender)
but were moderately decent and fluid enough to work well in a Unity game.
But a problem I faced was looping the animation.  SSmile 
I'm quite impatient so I don't really stick to these kind of projects.  Seriously 

Note that with Weight Paint rigging, you should make sure to not miss painting certain
areas as that may cause stretching.  (E.g. you might miss painting the back or certain areas inside or whatever.)
I find putting it on wire frame mode
could help you find areas you've missed.

Thanks man. I resolved the problem by scaling the models within the importing process.
But certain textures still needs to normalized but that's not a problem. Wink

Here's a preview:


And for the looping part, you need to select your model with the animation and go to the Animations tab at the right. Before that, you may need to set the animation as legacy in the Rig tab. And you'll find Wrap mode in the Animations tab afterwards. Very Happy

If you need T-pose legs, I can provide you two, the one is Circuit pants (purple) and the another one is the shorts (when you don't have any armors.) Razz
