I fail to understand what makes you think that having people like a page on Facebook will automatically help your group in your so-called endeavors to revive this game.

I really.... REALLY, don't mean to be a ## here, but it's about time I put my two cents into this.

As I have seen Ty say to you all with reason, time and time again, this kind of thing doesn't just magically happen. The only way that you guys will be able to pull something like this off is if you all worked together as a team side-by-side in the real world, focusing on ONE project rather than having people make their own projects individually and somehow magically combining these projects as one to create a final project. You guys claim that this Facebook page is your method to effective communication between your teammates in this, but let me tell you right now. It's not effective in the slightest.

Most of the people I see working on this are of a young age, still in high school, and have not studied this sort of thing long enough to call themselves adequate programmers or game developers.

Face it, guys. The only way FusionFall is ever going to come back is if Cartoon Network makes it happen. No offense, but you guys can't even make a half-decent banner, let alone a website to make this a well-known topic.

Bottom line is that if you're gonna want to make this work, you had better A ) have the time to, B ) know enough about game development and not just putting a bunch of models together and calling it a game, C ) find FAR better ways to promote it than this, and D ) agree with each other. I mean, for crying out loud. I've already seen so much impatience and other forms of negative conflict between the members of the group on Facebook.

Hate, laugh, or call me a quitter all you want. I already have a pretty big reputation for that here at Xtreme, and honestly, I could really care less, because I didn't quit. I fought pretty dang hard to make the game more enjoyable and interesting to the point where CN wouldn't shut it down, too. It's a shame that very few people seem to realize it to this day.

Believe me. If I had the skills to make a decent game, I'd totally do it too, but I know I can't, and I hate to be harsh, but at this rate, you guys honestly haven't a clue either.

Well.......cant argue with anything said here. In all honesty....I dont see the talent here either.

I know I could learn at least a a little something about 3D building in order to pull my weight but as it stands now XLR8 is more proficient than me in that area. All I can say is that when summer comes, it will be a completely different story since i'll have nothing but time.

The most I could do is throw together a website for it. That part would be covered..... but the thing is I dont want to go and make up my own stuff to put on there. I want it to all be approved by Wilt. Id hate for others to twist my own words and not say what I REALLY meant.

Lastly,
as far as the Facebook thing......I honestly think thats a pretty whack way to effectively communicate.

If anything, you NEED to use a forum or Skype. Not Facebook.
everyone needs to be able to see ALL TOPICS OF CONVERSATION and not just a tiny wallpost. It would have to be talked about with the administrators here as well as the members, but I think I'd be willing to start a whole New section strictly for the project and anyone willing to contribute.
I know this would help organize EVERYONE under ONE banner and we can share with the class what EVERYONE has accomplished.

My other only hang-up before I can even get the ball rolling on that......what EXACTLY IS your project going to be called Wilt?

Not much promotion can be made without a flagship name. Is it going to stay Project R? Is it going to be modified to something else? Project R spread across the fandom in a heartbeat once it started rolling. Now maybe you've seen my renamed site.....maybe you haven't. I cant work either unless I also recieve effective communication.

The name can always be redone.

The URL can always be changed.

I just need to know from you if it is good...needs this or that.....needs a new color scheme....needs this information.....needs this particular name.....needs a contact us page.......anything. I work really well with others and can support others just as well as I can lead. This is my way of offering help in the only way I can with the time I am constantly given.
Now I am sure we can find and pay student coders a small fee if they help us with our project so its NEVER we're out of viable options......but this is for the future. There are alot of things that we can bring to the table if we all just come to one place.




Does anyone feel that making a brand new Category here at Xtreme will do the trick? We are still one of the last, frequented, Fusionfall-focused sites out there and we still get new members every once in a while so I'm sure those on the Facebook page will find their fit here.

My only Concern is that I dont want any new, stupid people destroying our community. Anyone is welcome here....unless you're coming here STRICTLY to troll. That kind of drama wont be allowed.

Jake made the most valid point i have seen in a while. On the contrarily wiltilt wont get anywhere with us. He needs people that are going to help,not people that are just going to give helpful "tips"

then I heavily edited the whole banner
THEN OLIVER ZOMBIEWEASEL EDITED IT INTO A CHRISTMAS VERSION
IN PAINT. YES, HE EDITED IT IN PAINT.

Sorry, I just don't like it when people don't come on in a long time and suddenly start assuming things.
And you should NOT talk like your post is directed to everyone here.
Because say if you assumed ignorance, you'd be assuming ignorance on us all and that would be so insulting and hurtful.
You talk like we all are bad at graphics, making games, etc.
But you don't know. So please, word your posts in a more polite and less patronising way.

Plus, I for one have no idea what this thread is about as I cannot access the video due to me viewing from my phone which was recently formatted and so I need to download the unofficial, discontinued Flash support apk file.
And before Oli edited the banner, it was a pretty darn good one.
(No offence Oliver, I know you made it in paint and none of us were bothered to make a better one but the colour scheme is a slightly ruined by the colour of that tinsel.)
Undelos did an amazing graphics job with the big X.

Just to let you know, I'm no longer a strictly active admin here.
Active control has been handed down mostly to Undelos and Oliver who were originally just mods.

And Wilt's probably right about the name.
That name is dead now and overused.
It no longer accompanies a purpose.
You should find a better name.
But I don't know what this project is.
If it involves Facebook...then.....   
But good luck whatever it is.  

Of course, I'm not just under Grumpy, I'm under Undelos as well.  And I made it in GIMP, not Paint.  Windows 8's version of Paint is... well... rubbish. :sigh:

Just took a proper look at Dex's post (It was a long one, so I just scanned through it last time. As always.), and I only have this to say:

No one. Disses. My work. EVER!  I've had enough failure due to no one on Facebook bothering to say anything about it, Grumpy steals my showtime, and Undelos apparently forgot about my first suggestion of the Decorations Thread sometime in September!

Everything I do seems to be a complete failure compared to the work of other artists, except X (Who's just slowly making his way up), and just saying I can't make a good banner (Without saying how I can improve it) is NOT helping!

But members, new or veteran learn how to get things back on topic. Thats what we insist on here in order to compensate for our complete inability to pay attention to the given topic for more than 5 posts at a time.

Jake's probably still getting used to our forum. For someone that's accustomed to forums that stay on topic NO MATTER WHAT, its a hard adjustment for people when they sign up here.
