Equilibrium? (Their hairs seem to go in opposite directions.)
Unity? (Helix, dark and light Yin and Yang concept,)
Maybe they are incomplete without each other.
And the guy may seem dark in comparison but deep within, he has compassion.
To make analysis easier, let's note down significant details:
Guy:
> distorted body (could mean he is dead, different, incomplete, had a rough life,)
> helix resembling body (growth, prosperity/success, eternity, complexity, health, time,)
> dark (mysterious, hiding something, untrustworthy, fear, impure,)
> hidden face/possibly a neutral facial expression(wise, higher consciousness, anonymity,)
Girl:
> no body (dying, incomplete, something to do with body image,)
> has her green hair flowing away, (life flowing away)
> neautral-ish face + eyes closed (dying, at peace, despair, pain,)
> white background = purity and innocence
The girl has green hair (bluish green but still) and the colour green symbolises life.
Her hair is dripping away, thus her life is either getting worse (going down the drain expression)
or is literally going. (Dying.)
The guy's helix-like (thought incomplete by one strand...could mean lack of completion) body could also represent the progression of time and the girl's hair is dripping away (her life
is going) as time goes by. Maybe it means she can't live without him due to her hair turning
to liquid drops towards areas where his darkness/body/presence is in absence.
I dunno, there are so many ways to interpret this.
If even you are unsure, then there are even more possibilities since you haven't consciously formed a complete
set of comprehensible symbols in the image. (You may know what it means subconsciously though.)
It's difficult to access our subconscious mind.
It doesn't necessarily have to mean anything and can be open to personal interpretation if you want
but as long as you're happy with your art.
