The vocalist legend Chester Bennington, (lead singer of the rock band, Linkin Park)
sadly passed away on the 20th of July (last Thursday). Misery

As you can guess with my animated signature,
I've been a big Linkin Park fan for years and
grew up with their music.
Linkin Park was possibly one of the first rock bands,
and even music I liked, along with Nickelback.
The nostalgic early 2000s. Nostalgia
Rest in peace Chester Bennington. Sad
What a unique talent. He had a massive vocal range,
could go from soft rock to hard rock vocals really well.

Some speculate the cause of his death was perhaps linked to depression,
others believe there was foul play (murder).
Either way, it's a bit strange he died on the same day
as his close friend, Chris Cornell's birthday (Chris was lead singer in Soundgarden and Audioslave,
he also died similarly, just a couple of months ago).

Some people think this stuff happens in threes or something, which would suggest
something is behind these deaths of famous people.

Not sure if the conspiracy theorist in me is onto something
or if I'm just being cynical with the corrupt state of the world
where the corporate media and financial system lie about everything,
not to mention....the string of celebrity deaths in 2016.
There are some really "out there" theories which may be interesting to read
if this news particularly upsets you.

Well, whatever really happened, Mr Bennington will be missed.
Not sure what will happen to Linkin Park as a result of this tragedy.

I delayed posting this topic for a few reasons,
including: low forum activity,
I was away, and the way Chester passed away is entering
sensitive waters (topics of depression and suicide) which I wasn't sure how to handle on a PG/child friendly forum.

Suicide is something that should never ever be contemplated by anyone.
Depression (whether clinically severe or mild) is a serious
mental condition (or possibly even illness).
People who are depressed should always ask people for help/counselling.
No matter how messed up the activity of your brain's neurotransmitters
or how you're feeling, it's temporary like pain.

There's always a way to escape it by clearing your head,
traveling, expressing yourself, doing sports or whatever makes you happy.
This is clearly not 100% solid cure all advice otherwise suicides would never happen
but it's a good place to start. Physical activity (strenious but not too strenious)
can release endorphins ("feeling good" neurotransmitters in the brain).
Antidepressant medication is not recommended unless as an absolute last resort
(they do not deal with the root of the problem, only the symptoms, in a temporary manner, and have side effects,
you may become dependent on them, etc, etc.).

Not sure what Chester was dealing with that might have
given him so much sadness but if he had the right amount of help available,
maybe he'd still be with us, who knows. Shrug

The world has lost yet another legend.
