Terrible news. Didn't think this was going to happen at least for a few more years but
it has been officially announced on the CartoonNetwork forum for FusionFall.

FusionFall is officially shutting down on the 29th of August. (With a farewell event today on the 23rd.)

This forum will still be here though for archive and normal use as always
since this forum isn't just used for FusionFall.

I don't know of any way to save it. It was so spontaneous how this occurred.
It's certainly a sad day for Xtreme. And the entire FusionFall community, new and old.


It's been great. I've enjoyed time with friends in the game.
I've played on and off since early to mid 2009.
Thanks to everyone who's ever been on FusionFall to experience the great game it is
and to enhance the experience for everyone else.

This game will be missed.
Sad that it had the same destiny as another great old game called MiniMatch which shut down years ago too.

Everyone should come in game when its back up but yeah... I mean I know I am.

Sad day indeed, so many memories, are going to be gone forever....well lets not fight it we know fusionfall's destiny, but before it goes down, lets all go in game and enjoy it to the max, one more time....

Well, I pleaded to the best of my ability on the forum post to keep this game alive. I don't need to ask everyone to do the same, as I'm sure they will.

Whether they'll listen or not is a different story.

I'm thinking at the end we should get the music from SSBB when you finish Classic or All-Star mode.

Well, Xtreme isn't shutting down but I can see why you'd have little content to post but...
I mean I'd still be active here but I got studying to do ya know...when you get older...the load becomes greater. :/

Probably a good time for people to get a 3D model of their character if they miss it.
And or, taking a simple screenshot...or several dozen...Like I'm doing right now. :/

The best I know of anything remotely close to doing that is,
ripping (well, technically scanning 3D objects)
3D models and such -- this includes surroundings, not just players.
It would take a really long time to capture EVERY metre of the game
but I guess if someone's determined to do it before Thursday...

Even then, it's only the models and textures (models not in T-pose)
but not sure about the actual terrain.
And even then, it's not really a clean backup.
All that stuff would have to be added into the Unity engine again and lots and lots of work done to it.
(Including adding all textures but that's only the beginning obviously, since there's scripting, etc. etc. :/ )

But it's better than nothing.
I have a copy of my character's model. (Not T-pose.)
It's not perfect but it's better than nothing.

3D Ripper DX (worked for me) or GameAssassin (didn't work for me)
are examples of software that can do this.

Hope that helps. I feel like going on a 3D ripping spree but...I dunno.

wow, didn't think we'd have to deal with this so soon   at least if the maintenance is over before the Weekend ends (which it will) we'll all (mostly) be able to play (i'm sharing the Laptop with my Bro at the moment) i do wonder what this blow out event will be like though, at least they're doing something to go out with a bang, unlike how anyone else would've thought, but anyway, as long as we as a Forum are still around, that'll be alright

i'm kinda hoping it isn't just that, because if that's all, then they pay no attention to anything, we all know Taros are almost worthless, and that being Level 36 just makes it boring, now if making that slight change is for something involved in the event, then it would make sense, otherwise they're just flippin' idiots

I wish they kept it up for longer. Look at Toontown, that game has been around since 2001! I guess we should look on the bright side. We'll have more time to be productive!

You have to think about like a business does. They see no profit in the game anymore, so they're closing it down

@mralexs, well they don't tell us a thing about what's going on but I would have thought
the adverts would easily pay for a few servers on FF.
Even without maintenance...better than no game at all.

I wonder, would it be possible for them to host an offline version?
Then servers wouldn't cost/cost less or whatever. It's not the same without the multiplayer aspect but
it's better than nothing. :/

Ever wondered why the graphics aren't as good compared to graphics now? I'm also reminded of Toontown whenever I get a close-up look at the small sunflowers in Super Mario Sunshine.

Thank god we still got fusion fall heroes CN a cruddy 2d game that its hard to look at and is a really bad sequel  . O well game over man I knew this would happen didn't think it would till Christmas but dang. O well cn now I have pretty much no reason to visit the website again or watch the channel. It was epic playing in game with the members on this forum even how rare that was  but the game was fun sad to see it die this way its an update but not really a good way to say cya. but yea as I said I will miss you ff   sorry you turned to stone and I will still enjoy this forum. @Xlr8 will the title of this forum update or stay the same?

yes, and then we could get futuristic mind control stuffz and force CN update the game in the past   and make the other companies update other games that are being shutdown, then fix the rest in the world in the past with mind control, and then everything would be alright

I wouldnt mind the logo change the url could stay the same. If you dont want to would be good for memorys on the other hand you could change it I don't think anyone would mind just make sure to get a giant heads up on whats going on it kinda makes me think if a member is gone he/she will miss the post and wont be able to find the site though. hmmp if so I would say make a post of heads up and before that do a vote for the whole forum to see.

I'm glad they at least told us that it was being shut down, and when. I had a bad feeling it would just die in it's sleep.  
On the topic of Xtreme-name-changing, I say we keep Xtreme FusionFall, as a tribute to one of the greatest games to have ever been created. 
Either that or Oliver's idea.
