You know, its really cool you guys are still around and stuff! I honestly thought that the site would have been a lot less busy by now but I should have known better. You guys are all awesome!

Well. This isn't the first time I've delt with a game franchise that doesn't show much hope for a promising renewal. However, I've recently found a new way of dealing with the dead Ins0mniac Spyro the Dragon franchise which is to strike up a conversation about something from the game.

Fusionfall has quite a bit of debatable topics actually. Also, it would be great for fanfics and other types of various stories.

So, one of the things I've been wondering was.....What EXACTLY IS Fusion Matter?

First off,
I would like to put it out there..................It is NOT just "green goo" as Gringon so descriptfully put it.

We're not little kids here.
We should know better.


I used to think that it was simply a evil, but sentient biohazardus (<====misspelled, I know) material.
But then a few days ago, I remembered that trailer where Dexter was viewing the Fusion Matter underneath a microscope that it had living cells in it.

So apparently it can support life.
Is the liquid the hazardous material? Are the cells viruses? They copy DNA and the general makeup of a living creature and recreates it in its own special way. How does it make objects levitate? It also breaks down objects and "eats" them.
Apparently also, it can change its properties. Take Fusion Dexter for example.

If you're one of the very few that could get a chance to poke him with a stick, he would seem gooey rite??? But what about his wrench? Its most likely as hard as steel itself. How is it that even though its fusion Matter, they can change up their properties so much? Does that mean that they could take ANY fusion Matter and turn it into a blade as strong as steel?

Evil tendancies aside, Fusions and Fusion Matter itself is actually pretty amazing. Its apparently very versatile and adaptable. It has various uses and functions that make it a force to be reckoned with.


What's your opinion on it?

Maybe Fusion Dexter's wrench is actually Dexter's prototype, and Dex simply dropped it while fighting? Too bad that after Dexlabs Upgrade 1, his wrench became invisible.

Also, don't forget it's also made out of data, as Fuse is able to communicate with his minions with it.

undelos.. undelos... fusionfall is not a game, so cells might not even exist in the game its green go that hurts your character and yes it may have a purpose in the story but no game is really like real life, because if they took the time to add organs and skeleton and millions of cells to each character the game would be so laggy, and what oliver said.

And does that make it any less fun? No.

Anyway, who ever said Fusions had skeletons? Maybe their bodies are just hardened, while the outer body is still soft, only to give the Fusions more maneuverable or something? Anyway, I highly doubt Fuse's minions require any organs. They're made of FM, so that's their brain covered, and they're also just soldiers, so there is no need for any other organ.

Back to skeletons, the only known skeletal structure is their armour. If their counterparts fight a lot, like The Powerpuff Girls or the KND, the strength of their armour is bound to be the same of the human counterparts. If they're just normal people, like Billy or Ben (I know he's not normal, but his only real armour is his aliens), then the Fusions' clothes are probably slightly enhanced to take more damage.

its green go on fusionfall and its deadly, lol thats pretty much it because its true, there isnt really a logical realistic explanation I can think of besides magma... but thats a different story

Wait what is fusion matter? I think it is pretty obvious. It is literally as what the name says, it is fusion matter. It is what fusions are made of, It is their essence. You create nanos out of fusion matter that what actually makes nanos great weapons against fusions partially. So yeah that is why a nano can become any character because they posses the ability of fusions to copy someone and that is why they possess the same types that monsters have. Remember the components of a nano? Fusion matter, a personal item of someone (that decides what character it becomes) and imaginations which has the biggest key importance. Without imagination it would become a fusion, but fusions have no power of imagination. Example that is why the cardboard fortress can protect the Cul-de-Sac because it is imaginary not a real fortress making it an impenetrable obstacle for fusions. So by my theory nanos are like half fuson and half imaginary friend. The fusion part gives them all the abilities and the imaginary part what makes it good and pure, possibly also why they are personal that YOU have to create for yourself with your mind.
So I hope you understand Fusion Matter now better. That is all for today's Fusionfall science lesson.

and well if it's living (like cells theoretically)... it would probably work like it... how come the people are in forms and the goo is just... goo sometimes?

howcome we never have hair growing out our nailbeds and nails growing out of our skull, when both of them are just made of dead cells? how come we never have random bone cells appearing on our skin?
haha it's weird to think about... but in the developement of humans, there is no scientific explanation (that I know of) for how certain parts become those parts...
so couldn't the same be like fusion matter? It can form to be a certain shape, but it just knows "Oh i'm a clothes cell" or "I'm a fusion buttercup cell" or "Yeah! I'm a Goo Cell!" ... couldn't it kinda work like that? in the mysterious way science works, that's 3/4 explainable and 1/4 miracle?

Well we can talk about it but that is the case in basic. We harness the monsters essence and use it against them. That is what have been discovered in the future that can win the war.
I personally always wondered about more how do you get fusion matter out of enemies? What does it looks like and how do you keep it with your self? How can getting a nano or gathering fusion matter make you stronger (leveling up)?

maybe it's some sort of adaptable type of plant or whatever, if that's what Planet Fusion is made of then the planet itself is alive, and perhaps everything on it is just made from the planet

also, fusion matter is probably made of entirely different elements that our world doesn't have haha which would mean that it has properties no one even know about ^.^ making it therefore, just plain fusion matter

WAIT! NO NO NO NO OH GOOD LORD NO!! Not LITERALLY add cells in the game files!!!!!!!!!   Not even BENCHMARK test makers would DARE do something like that!!!!

Every polygon created in game takes processor power.

The processor reads the Game code and uses the knowledge to turn each and every Polygon according to the camera angle. Your character's hair probably had 2-3 polygons. This is small to keep the use of the processor power low.

However, this isnt counting the rest of the polys on your character, the particle effects (the kajillion shiny balls of light off of a sword or something) of the surrounding area, the information the processor has to read in order to apply the correct lighting and shade, the surrounding area data, and lets not forget, the other characters and their polys, enemies polys, and lastly the A.I. and the Game Engine itself.  



Game Developers make models with as few polys as POSSIBLE to keep the processor demand low. To make a model with each individual cell.................



Dude.

You wouldn't even be able to save a FINGER on that model................let alone a whole arm. 
Not joking about that. You WOULD NOT be able to render a finger. If you DID try to do that, Your computer would freeze on you, ask you what the HECK YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING...............and then Rage quit on you.

Marvel didnt just stop at saying Wolverine has virtually Indestructable claws.
They went deeper and decided to add a bit of feasible science to it, saying his skeleton is made out of Adamantiumn. They even expanded even more by adding another Tough, possibly even stronger metal alloy to the lore of the marvel universe and veteran fans of the comics know which one is stronger.

It is strange how many people think you get stronger only from equipment. You see you actually have stats in the game, STATS EVEN WITHOUT ANY EQUIPMENT. Those stats actually greatly increase when you get a level up. Equipment only boosts your stats. You might be surprised but you actually get a lot more power grow from level ups then from your equipment. You may not even noticed but I am sure that sometimes you did not even changed your weapon or armor for a whole level or two yet you still got a lot stronger at the next level.
So in short you indeed get stronger by collecting enough fusion matter. Yes I know it is weird, that is what makes it a mystery.

Yes, but very little, making you easy to kill. Equipment does help. Which is why I always went for Guide missions first every time I lvl up, as Guides gave you the toughest item(s) of that level.

Though stats aren't affected from accessories, thus why you couldn't combine them.

but yeah the imaginary energy seems like it would work... and well, the fusion matter is able to make the fusion characters stronger by the level, so why not us? they would probably have to use a carrying thing (like the nano com) to keep it safe until they could turn it into some different type of material that we could used without dieing...

That is true, they are important and you would be weak without them. But equipment stats get better at a much slower rate then the level up grow. You can hardly see a lot bigger difference from a levelup then from equiping the next level of weapon replacing the previous. You get what I am saying.

Maybe humans can drain fusion matter without even noticing and it makes them strong. I could easily make a sequel story based of that. Recruits get too much fusion matter inside them and Fuse uses that out.

You know the more I think about the whole you drain fusion matter the more it would make sense. So yeah you drain fusion matter and it makes you more powerful because maybe you use out all the extra energy or who knows. But if you get too much fusion matter you are toast. Fuse can completely block you down because he can manipulate fusion matter, that is his thing. That is actually how Megas ended up unable to be move at all, it got covered fully with fusion goop and Fuse is perfectly holding it down using it. You can actually also see several robots and stuff of Dexter in the Darklands not really damaged just covered in goop making them useless, possibly it is completely blocks them down. So in a sense if YOU are full of fusion matter Fuse should be able to do the same thing to you, make you completely unable to move. Heck if I think about this maybe this is the secret behind how did Fuse disabled Rex's powers, since fusion matter is microscopic it could be used to block down nanites some way. Oh wow this could so work well. The recruits to save the world have all suddenly ended up unable to move due to the fusion matter inside them. We need new recruits and way of protection against fusion matter.

Here is a little fun facts about Fuse and the fusions species. Almost every monster in the game is actually creature built from all kinds of random objects as you possibly noticed. They are a fusion of several random objects, that is actually why they are called fusions. Fuse is the mastermind that controls all, he designs the monsters and combines the objects using fusion matter. That is why he is called Fuse because he is the one who fuse things together. While many may more think of fusions as the things that can copy others that just seem to be a little extra ability of fusion matter and not the main things that makes them known of and popular.

Fusion matter is like the life force of fuse and his minions 'o' i think, because you know when you kill the mobs, two orbs come flying out and fly towards your nanocom and comes up as Fusion Matter and is counted as XP.  So perhaps the nanocom was like a gauge to count how many of fuse's minion's souls you've slaughtered for your benefit :O

That's my thoughts though. so yeah.  Also Nanocom counts your money

I didn't think so either.   

I think due to the stability of Carbon, (having a full outer electron shell)
it's one of the basic elements in living organisms on Earth and it has been
suggested among scientists that silicon could be an alternative for some aliens
depending on their environment.

Now, Silicon doesn't have a full outer shell
(in fact it's half full, or half empty depending on how you wanna look at it...  )
but silicon atoms try to share their electrons with others to make complex structures (like carbon does in graphite but not exactly like that) and so it's quite stable.

So regarding this, Fusion Matter might be some other kind of mixture of elements,
maybe slowly decaying radioactive elements? I dunno...

It's just a game and they probably didn't care to develop it in such depth since
it's a kids' game mostly. (Officially 10+ to play and 13+ for free chat.)

Hmmm, fusion matter is also used to create nanos...
maybe the fusion mutation ratio is much lower?
But...but...ahh forget it. This stuff really isn't worth contemplating about.   
Especially since FF closed.

The whole silicon thing makes sense too...
cuz fuse is all eletricy (lol don't judge my words... and my logic cuz i really didn't pay too much attention to the storyline >.< hahaha)

I think fusion matter is more like a living virus, a super-intelligent-living virus, that is.

It has the ability to control inanimate objects, and fuse them together, and in some weird, twisted, and probably painful transformation, turning them into all those monsters you know and hate. 

They may also have DNA transformations, which creates fusions and all of them are under control of lord fuse, who controls fusion matter.

But it could be that fusion matter is a type of energy, a strong one, in fact one so strong, it can create life.
And that energy can be morphed with our imagination, thus creating nanos.

I hope all of this is making sense

I think a good question is, 

how did they put the planets back to their spots after taking out fuse. I'm pretty sure having all those planets there so close to each other could end up badly.
