It took ages to colour.  
Not really that satisfied for the work and time put in.   
But I am quite satisfied with the shadow effect and how X's spouse looks like in the picture.
(Particularly in terms of anatomy accuracy.)

@Undelos, in the original story line, X dies.
In this alternative universe, she dies and X is alive, angry and sad simultaneously.
In the drawing, X is shouting. Probably "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
or "AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGHHHHH" or something with intense in emotion.   

In the alternative universe, I haven't quite decided how she dies but
currently I'm thinking it would involve a scenario that stops X
being able to save her unless he kills himself in the process, (no hesitation there though)
but in this scenario, Agent Six tells Hom to stop X saving her so that
he survives.

X, Hom and the other Xtremists are on a plane.
Hom straps a support wire around X a second before jumping out of the plane,
dragging X with him against his will.
Hom's head-locking X to stop him struggling, X gets out his blades;
one goes flying up (Hom dodges) and with the other, he
cuts the cable and becomes detached from Hom, falling nearly to his death.
What saves him is an Xtremist jet nearby which picks him up.
X is really angry and says "I don't want to live anymore, leave me to fall."
But they save him against his will and something happens to X's wife and she dies.
It's quite interesting when I play it in my mind, don't know
if I'm conveying the story well.

Wait so, in what ways specifically is X really different in your versions compared to mine?

Here's a video I edited that gives an idea of the emotion of the alternative universe event:
(The beginning is of a parachute video I got from YouTube. Imagine
the front guy is X, the back guy is Hom and the camera man is Agent Six.
Understand how X feels the second he gets dragged out of the plane, knowing
that, at that very second, he knows his wife will die as there isn't enough time to get back to save
her. The other clips are from X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Wolverine is sort of like X, being an experiment and all...
And imagine Wolverine's wife as X's wife.)

I'm pretty sure you did X. Unless...

I know the video is a little random (and could have edited better but I had limited clips to choose from)
but that movie is one of my favourites!
And it conveys something similar to X.

Maybe my immersion in the movie's story line sort of inspired some aspects of
X's story. This movie DID come out in 2009...
Great movie too. Don't understand the mediocre reviews. 
I thought it was brilliant how...oh I don't want to spoil it for those who want to
see it and haven't yet.  (The story between Wolverine and his wife, it was fantastic!
Involves betrayal.....supposedly....can't say anymore...or I'll ruin it for you... )
