Most people started basing characters on Greek mythology and make either minor or big changes based on what they like or what they're adding the character too. In this case I hated the way  Medusa had all those snakes, so I went and made her have bangs and only 3 snakes. That made her different from all the other Medusa's. The animal is a going to look like a mongoose when it's colored, since mongooses hate cobras I figured it'd be ironic. So I can't take a someone from Greek time and make her wear something different?
I'm trying to make things less generic.

Oh man,  you're hilarious Oliver. By the time I "Get back into the group"  you'll still be nowhere near it. Technically I didn't insult a member of the Excellent Artist Group, I insulted Oliver who isn't in the group, I don't see him anywhere in that group.

I wouldn't say just Greek but lots of gods are changed in appearance from time to time. Sometimes Hercules is scrawny other he's got about as many muscles as hulk. Whether you saw any at all doesn't matter. You got the point.
