| No, he isn't Miyamoto, unfortunately (ok, so maybe Shigeru wouldn't make a good president, maybe he would. I just want him to be because he's Miyamoto. ), instead, it's... Tatsumi Kimishima! Yeah, I haven't heard of him either, but he is the one who advised Nintendo against the Wii U. BUT what's good is that he's already come up with some ideas, which will come into place on Wednesday. Firstly, he's going to combine the Nintendo Integrated R&D Division (which deals with stuff like console hardware) with the System Development Division. The new branch will be called the Platform Technology Development Division, which will be in charge of developing Nintendo hardware, OS, network, etc. This new branch will be supervised by Ko Shiota, who used to be the Deputy General Manager of the R&D branch. Those aren't the only two being merged, though. Next will be the Entertainment Analysis & Development and the Software Planning Divisions, which will be called the Entertainment Planning & Development Division, which will be in charge of the former General Manager of the Software Planning, Shinya Takahashi. On top of all this will be a new branch called Business Development, which will "refine the business model for the dedicated video game system business", along with Nintendo's plans for mobile gaming and IP licensing. Speaking of Miyamoto earlier, he and Genyo Takeda used to be the General Managers of Nintendo EAD and IRD respectively (but those no longer exist for some reason), but will not become Creative Fellow and Technology Fellow, respectively again, while continuing to be Representative and Senior Managing Directors. "Fellow" here refers to them being closer to consultants rather than hands-on managers. The late-Iwata's basic strategies will remain the same, however. EDIT: Geez, I look like X. |

| Tatsumi Kimishima?
I hope things just go up from here. You really did your research OZw. the only thing I PRAY that they continue to value.........Reverse Compatibility.
I currently have an Xbox One that is useful for everything else..............BUT playing games. Havent been Vault Hunting in a long time. cant do it on there because they decided to make the Xbox ONE oblivious to its own predecessors games. Wii U? That awesome thing NO DOUBT can still run Gamecube discs.
If they ever came out with a system that had an extra serial port for classic game packs. I would Buy stock in Nintendo and OFFICALLY become a nintendo fantard for life.

| Didn't Microsoft reveal that the Xbox One will update to have backward compatibility at E3 this year or last year? As for the Wii U, although I'm sure it has the hardware capabilities to run Gamecube games, the problem is the controller. Unless Nintendo sent out an update when the Gamecube adapter came out or Nintendo started work on the adapters at the same time as the console... I dunno. I haven't got an adapter and I haven't tried inserting any of my Gamecube games. Besides, it gives me an excuse to keep my Wii. |
