In other words, the 3DS will only use the 3DS' 3D feature during the battles, as the overworld would be too laggy otherwise. So the 2DS is now starting to make sense. I think it would be kinda pointless to only have it in 3D in just battles. Unless I was battling a lvl 100 Metapod.

You may also get slight lag during the battle w/ 3d on, 'cause FE:A lags when the 3d is on during the 3d scenes
