It's not Artist Block exactly...
Because i have the image of what do draw, exactly even, it's like, i know exactly where the pencil will go and everything...

But all the pictures look like a 2 year old drew them....   


I need to be a better artist...

Why do my role models have to be so good????

I just finished a super awesome series...
And noticed that there is no fan art for it...

So i've been trying...

my attempts:

I don't think you're far off.
You're getting the shapes right.
I'm experiencing something similar.

My graphics tablet has been having driver problems
but when it does work properly,
I find it difficult to translate what's in my mind,
onto paper...uh...digital canvas.

I'm wondering if I should draw different layers of the drawing on paper,
outline them digitally with the tablet
and then merge them together and edit.
I wonder if anyone does that kinda thing.
Seems like a long process but might help. With pencil, it feels more natural.
I got the image in my mind too.

I mean, i figure this is everybodies hardest part,
But i just think that mind-to-paperish thing  is the hardest part...
I think i really just need to practice more realistic drawings...
And maybe i should try on lined paper, see if i can get some of that artistic ability i had during school to come again haha

But yeah, i think i just want it to look more realistic which is very hard right now hahaha

It may or may not have been the lined paper but it could
have been the fact you were in an 'uncomfortable place'
as in, not optimum for drawing. I think Undelos said something like that.
I think we tend to draw better when we're NOT in a position that makes
us feel like we NEED to draw. (I.e. in a drawing studio or if you've decided to yourself,
"I must draw for this contest!")

A similar thing happens to me with drawing and science.
When I have free time and am travelling, I can read a science book more passionately
than if I was told that I had to as part of my education.
When I was having trouble drawing a costume for my superhero idea,
my best costume so far has been from a drawing drawn on scrap paper
I drew in college at lunch.
Strange isn't it?

Yeah i guess that's true...
I mean i can read anywhere, but i guess i do draw my best when i was at school, i always said it was because i was supposed to be doing something else   


But that is true,
I was just laying down on the ground in my room hahaha

There are free trials and stuff, but to excess the full site you need to pay..
I dunno it looks interesting...

oh yeah, my artist blocks are called, "Lazy Bombs"

I get no motivation to draw and just go watch sad videos or sad music vids
