Thee members of Xtreme were all gathered except for Owen, Xlr8 sat next to the Admins and Mods in a throne like chair. His face seemed pleased yet serious. No one knew why Owen was missing, he was also sent a letter and even helped clean up the base. So Owen had to be there, half an hour already passed as they sat there watching some news.
"Alright, I'll just tell you guys about the plan. I can't wait for Owen forever so whoever sees him can share the news." Xlr8 announced. "Dexter found out that the reason we could only use 1 nano was because we have to lower the Fusion Matter Radiation levels around us, the planet itself raises the radiation by 40% 1 nano fills up 30% meaning that 2 nanos would completely cause us to die. Worst case scenario was becoming a fusion. Dexter created a special pill, it raises the body's strength, speed, endurance, and defenses. Meaning what was 30% becomes a solid 5%, you'd be able to control 3 or more nanos. More importantly, you can allow your nano to level up and use all 3 of it's powers. The fact is there are only 4 pills, and the chances of surviving the substance in the pill are about 50/100. Dexter suggested giving it to the 4 bravest, strongest, durable, and those with strong wills to fight."
The pills were given out, everyone looked around and agreed. Hom, the strongest, Dragoon the bravest, Oliver the durable, and Grumpy with his determination to find his sister. All of them would have to work as a team. Hom stood up and headed to the restrooms. Little did he know that he would find the corpse of Owen. The whole group had tears in their eyes, because a fusion wasn't responsible, not this time. A word was written in blood, Owen's final word.
"MILS"
"It says Slim backwards..." Xlr8 looked at Slim.
"I swear it wasn't me, I was with Oliver the whole time." he replied.
Zoe stood there with Dragoon, worried that whoever did this would be back from someone else.
A monitor in the main room turns on. A man with a white mask appeared, a journal hat and a notepad at his side.
"Hello Xtremers, hope you liked the present. I don't give wrap gifts, sorry. Now, you may all know that Owen is now dead on the floor, funny how things work. I'm the FusionFall Journalist, and I know everything about all of you. By the way Zoe, why get married if you're just going to cheat on Diamond with Dragoon. Dane, why did you steal Pawnzer's nano? Glory, why do you always make Grumpy clean the shop. Zero, why did you kill Owen?" The Journalist smiled.
The tension in the room could be cut through with a knife. Everyone looked at Zero now, Pawnzer got up and exclaimed
"Come one guys! It's Zero! He wouldn't hurt a fly, he was with us before this all happened. Owen spelled out SLIM."
"He's right, Zero maybe an excellent Archer outside, but here he's our friend." Grumpy backed him up.
Hom suggested locking them both up for a while, but instead everyone went on to the mission.
"Get all the nanos, only take the pill when you think you have to, it's permanent. If you use it you might die, so make sure you have no regrets." Xlr8 announced. "Now let's go about Owne's situation in a Horror film manner, everyone has to stay in a group, everyone make sure your shoes are tied. Carry around lots of weapons in your inventory. Couples, please try to do whatever you do in a house, not outside in a park. No one is allowed to drink alc,.hohol. Follow those rules and you'll survive."
The teams were formed and everyone went to Fusion Lairs. Glory, Riley , Alice and Grumpy were one group. Dragoon, Zoe, Pawnzer and Zero were another. Hom, Xlr8, Mei and Bella were another and then Oliver, Undelos, Prince and Ace.
The lairs took hours to complete just one, with a nano for all 4 of them. Dragoon was in the lead since his team followed him through anything. Pawnzer and Zero kept staying behind Dragoon and Zoe, as if giving them privacy. Dragoon was still feeling unsafe. What if Zero was a murderer? He murders fusions daily, why not people?
After beating Fusion Numbah Four the team stayed inside the lair for a minute. Zoe handed out snacks and Pawnzer told jokes. Everything seemed fine. Then from the Portal that led outside the lair came Slim De Jackson, Undead Brad, Luffy, and even Razor.
"Hey, how did yo guys know we were here?" Asked Dragon.
They surrounded them, watching them. Zero Points a gun at Dragoon, Pawnzer grabs Zoe from behind also pointing his pistol at her. Their faces were no longer playful, Dragoons eyes opened wide and his pupils became dots. Sweat dripped down their body.
"Please, let her go, she has nothing to do with this." Dragoon pleaded.
*Bang*
The gun was immediately triggered. Zoe's corpse fell to the ground slowly turning into particles.
Owen's body didn't turn into particles though. A laugh was heard as Owen appeared on top of the walls of the lair smiling. Dragoons tears choked him. He lost Zoe twice, his face was emotionless now. Broken and his sanity was completely gone.
"Well, to be fair, you did tell him to let her go." Owen laughed.
Zero reached in his pockets and took the pill. Dragoon was shot, the last thing he saw, was him and Zoe in a picnic making out and laughing. Dragoon smiled as he closed his eyes for the last time. Zero and the gang smiled as they headed to the base.
