I think it would be wise to go to a computer repair shop and ASK what's wrong with the graphics card.
The problem maybe be as catastrophic as being physically burnt and non functional.
However, it may just simply need more thermal paste or even simpler, may just have a ton of dust in the fan component.
Evildragon, you're right but there may be a reason to why he won't go to a computer repair shop. (e.g. not allowed to go out, unprofessional help in his area,
extremely expensive, costly to even ask - I think it's free to ask at least lol, not bothered, busy, etc.)

But if you can ask a computer repair shop technician, SkyFallen, please do.
Also I've figured out that not only is there potentially something physically wrong with your graphics card but it may
also have not been installed correctly, incorrect drivers, corrupt drivers/OS, compatibility faults, hardware failure, unrecognised components,
loose conductive connectors etc.

summary: i wrote too much, you should ask repair shop technicians.
I came to the conclusion that there's something wrong (not just the fact your card is what...10mb???)
but you sent me a screenshot of your display driver (VGA Controller) and an unknown device in your device manager screen.
THERE'S A PROBLEM.
Uninstall your display driver AND the unknown device marked with a yellow warning symbol in the display drivers section,
restart your pc and tell me if it fixes the black and white fusionfall issue.

in some instances based on where I am at, I usually am considered a know-it-all on computers (around my family) and in other instances I am embarrasingly n00bish (at my freelance job at a computer repair shop). Now I think that this might be one of those n00bish times but I could've swore that if you uninstall the driver for the display..................it uh....................wont display anymore????
(or atleast for one to reinstall the Driver)

Oh, I wouldn't say you're a n00b
According to my experience, uninstalling the display driver only reverts drivers to a basic version (or a VGA version unrelated to your graphics card company?? Probably one that came with your operating system)
I dunno, some kind of default driver or state.
So, when uninstalling the display driver, you are left in a state which turns your monitor resolution very low (800x600? maybe?)
and restarting your computer will update the driver.
This may be very helpful especially if there's a problem with a driver.

i heard bad graphics cards can still run fusionfall as long as its not 10 years old lol

i played fusionfall with my 512mb ram computer....

game froze.

That may also be the fault of your graphics card,
but yeah half a gigabyte of ram isn't good at all for fusionfall especially if you have a big screen (1280x900 and over)

From experience/judgement: (not including graphics card factors)
512mb - SLIDESHOW ALERT - or if you're lucky you can walk around if your OS is very VERY good at managing ram.
1GB - are you kidding, it's a slideshow on high and full screen. But JUST about manageable on low, on a smaller resized window.
2GB - good enough to enjoy your stay on fusionfall
3GB - Guessing it has nice speed. Hardly any lag.
4GB - no problem what so ever. No lag except network factor affected areas. (highly populated areas of the game)

I have a 2GB and its good but slow when on for a long time.
