I have a little more time available than I usually do.

Believe me, been there, done that.
You only attract more members when there's new features.
I got no features coming up (like fan games, FF movies, FF music, art contests, custom clothes for FF, etc.)
I could probably do all those things, but that requires quite a lot of work to get back into.

All I know is, the second coming of Hom will get his loyal subjects lining up again.

After reading Undelos' depressing post about aging,
I am reminded of the fact I never disabled birthday/age in this forum's profiles.
Kind of irresponsible of me considering age in years AND exact birthday makes it way easier
for some shady group (or weirdo) to narrow down someone's identity.

Well anyway months ago I was considering trying to
make a FusionFall fan game (borrowing some FF textures and AI enlarging/enhancing it )
but the game engines I'm looking at either have a steep learning curve or are limited without
coding (I am not a coder!   ). FPS or TPS with an FF theme would have been interesting (someone already kind of beat me to the FPS idea but it's in a different graphical style).

Instead of trying to get back to continuing the 7 Legends movie (I don't even know where the script is, maybe Slim has it),
perhaps another Burger Frenzy spin off FF show would be a fun "quick" project.  
I just know Oliver doesn't believe me when I say quick project.
Don't worry Oli, what you don't have faith in the bureaucratic XFF council?


If you're doing stuff in 3D software, you could probably figure out how
to make a t-shirt or maybe just texture an existing (3D ripped) FF t-shirt model and...give it the
Undelos brand design.   (You used to make custom design t-shirts right!? You have experience.   )
Then you could try to ask someone (who works on OpenFusion stuff) how to implement it into the game.

If drawing takes too long, cut corners.    Efficiency.

BTW I have an animated version of the XFF logo and a spooky halloween style version
ready to test, for a temporary new look.
I guess the red forum and blue logo don't go together that well at the moment (but still feels homely).  
But I don't think people really care at this point, often people have other projects in their lives overtaking FF stuff.
And besides, it's all about the features!



Anyway in OpenFusion, I did that glitch where you can go inside the Candy Cove ship in the future.

have either of you been on OpenFusion 1.1 recently?
Oh the hacks are glorious! XLR8 can finally run fast and fly/fall with style.
And Oliver's jetpack finally can make him fly (I'm talking about the jump hack of course. ).

I wonder when Hom will join the party. Maybe someone here added him on PS3 or something.
It's been a year since he last came on here.

By the way, I don't know if any of you Art Titans care about
the Gallery section anymore but it's a terrible system (the forumotion gallery system)
so I have an idea for replacing it.
Maybe I can link the Gallery button to an Imgur
album page (or some other gallery displaying website).
I can't believe I didn't think of that before. 

Tbh I've lost interest in making FF art.
Also I wonder where Grumpy is, by now
he's probably made his own world famous anime or something.

The FF community these days seems small and inconsistent compared to years ago
(don't know about youtube, haven't checked).
I too think "will anyone even see this?" while thinking of starting an FF project for the lolz.
A lot of FF players forgot the game or are too busy with other stuff (especially older players)

But eventually it might increase again when the buddy list in OpenFusion starts to work.
Right now, the socialising aspect just isn't solid
enough (yet).
If I wanted to go in game to talk to you, Oliver, Hom, etc.
I would have to ask "what time do you usually play??" every time.
But if the buddy system worked, I could just chat or teleport to you
when you're online.
 
I don't know anything about selling stuff, but if there's a market for whatever art theme you wanted to sell (I'm not a copyright lawyer btw... ),
I'd guess a lot of people are curious (but hesitant) to buy art prints
vs an art mouse mat, fridge magnets, water bottle or something kinda materialistic like that.



I'm not an expert, just guessing.
Welcome to my podcast Undelos' online gift shop,
we have all kinds of custom art merchandise.  
Of course, it would be pointless if you can't produce the items at a profit
or at a decent enough material quality.
Hopefully one day your Art Titan skills will come in handy for something
that helps support you financially (like as a second income).
But if not, well at least
you have a fun productive hobby that can help you relax after a long day.
Or it can enable you to one day work on a passion project (if you're financially stable and have time for it, of course).
It really helps if you know someone in an industry (people who sell art merchandise, raw materials, gift shops, marketing people, comic/manga/anime conventions, etc.).

Now I'm imagining the cool things Undelos would make in Blender software.
The interface has really improved compared to a few years ago.

One year later...

Technically the forum did get a design change as Undelos predicted,
just not in the way she thought.
Ok I didn't change forum top buttons, so sue me.  
When the buddy list system starts working in
OpenFusion or Retrobution, probably FF activity will finally go up
and I might have to make something.
Until then, I sleep.
