You can swim in the air in Spyro. No really, I just finished doing a mission in Spyro 2 when I accidently fell in some water. Then the game teleported me to the guy who I was supposed to talk to to finish (As it always does) and found myself swimming in mid-air.

@Target: I don't remember it ever being a hit here. Possibly... If so, then probably last summer.

yeah, you can also do that in year of the dragonfly, the first PS2 spyro game in case i'm wrong about the title, though it seems that happens more frequently

That's the one! Considered the worst original game due to the glitches, long loading times and the fact it was rushed. Yeah, the developers were just not given enough time. Though when I played the PS2 version, only problem I had was the long loading times. I don't think there are any LLT in the GCN version.

Yeah, you can do that in Spyro 4. Along with pretty much all original 3D Spyro games. Except Spyro the Dragon, as you can't swim in the water cause it's more like sludge. Or as ProtonJon would say, "Death Water!".

yeah, sly cooper thieves in time also has long load times, but at least it wasn't rushed, and if anything, the loads are kinda infrequent, and give you some cool music to listen to in the mean time, like this, for the old west



and another thing that made spyro 4 bad, THERE WAS ONLY ONE HUB WORLD, AND RIPTO IS THE ONLY BOSS, AND IS FOUGHT TWICE, AND IS VERY EASY THE 1ST TIME YOU FIGHT HIM , but at least crash bandicoot had a better start on the PS2, that lasted 2 whole games, spyro on the other hand, only got 1 that was atleast halfway decent

Actually, I THINK you fight Ripto three times. I haven't played the game in a while. Gnasty Gnorc was going to be a boss (Or at least make an appearance), but instead, he was just mentioned. And actually, original Spyro had two games on the PS2. You're forgetting A Hero's Tail. As for Crash, I was never really a fan on Wrath of Cortex. I always preferred Twinsanity.

Back to Spyro 4, taken from the Spyro wiki:

"The game was originally going to be about Gnasty Gnorc teaming up with Ripto in an attempt to capture all of the dragonflies for themselves. It was supposed to contain 120 dragonflies to collect, over 25 levels, a framerate of 60 frames per second, and relatively fast loading times. However, Universal Interactive Studios forced the developers to rush on developing the game in order to be available by winter 2002 and therefore it suffers from an inconsistent framerate, long loading times, graphical glitches, sound issues and lock-ups. Additionally, Gnasty doesn't appear anywhere in the game at all, there are only 9 levels for the player to explore and only 90 dragonflies for the player to collect."

If there's one thing I like about the game, it's the credits music. If you listen closely, it's a remix of the main theme from Spyro 1. Just, with bad yodeling. Like Ripto's theme is a remix of Gulp's theme from Spyro 2.

actually it is twice, i watched a 100% walkthrough of the game, since i could never play it, and he was only fought twice, once with a magical shield that you needed breath attacks to break, and another time with the same deal, but longer, and afterwards, he turns into a monster that you have to fight, but yeah, it's pretty disappointing that the game couldn't have all that, stupid game publishers, curse you, CURSE YOOOOOOOUUUUUUU!
