The much speculated upon May 21st conference has rung true, as just a while ago Microsoft announced it on their official Xbox facebook page.




Now, this gives you no right to start up a console war in the comments below, because I’ll finish it right now;

‘PS4 wins’

There. Fanboy war over.

I have to admit. Although I am a certified PlaystationHead and I have owned every playstation console (excluding PSX and PocketStation) I am still excited for this conference, I am always glad to see what new consoles have to offer, especially ‘the big two’.

I will be frank, I have never got on with Xbox, but I’ll try to stay impartial. Here it goes.

Microsoft are always making new things, whether they are making jokes *cough*kinect*cough* (oops!) or making new phones they have always done it well, I have used a windows phone and they have a pretty nice UI. Windows 8 has received a lot of criticism but it is made for touch screens really, anyway, onto the Xbox!

I have always enjoyed gaming, and always will. I could probably get along with Xbox, it’s just the controller and the interface, controller feels foreign to me, and the interface is like a whole new world (I’m not saying the Xbox OS is any better, of course). I do follow both the Playstation and Xbox, although there isn’t much difference, you still get a good read sometimes. I think I could get along with Xbox if PS3 controllers were compatible….. And they changed the OS to XMB

At the moment Sony have impressed lots of people, including myself, obviously. But not only have they showcased what the console can do, they’ve snatched up a few more indie dev’s to work on the PS4, Primal Carnage: Genesis for example. Sony have announced some truly amazing features for it’s console, the new controller for starters, downloading while on standby, browse the store on your iOS/Android device and start downloading while away….

I still can’t wait to see what Microsoft will bring to the table, like I said, any bit of new tech interests me! (Which is why I love kickstarter so much!)

The only thing that I could criticize though, is how open they are. With Sony, they simply put ‘#Playstation2013′ which has some mystery behind it, along with the slogan ‘See the Future’, Xbox however have taken the other route and said ‘Yeah, next xbox. Bye.’

Everyone loves something to speculate about, although we knew #Playstation2013 was the PS4, there was still a hint of mystery behind it. Which everyone enjoyed.

like you, i think the PS4 wins, if only they could just make it so that stream function uploads to TwitchTV, i'm not a a video maker, but i think that'd better for video makers anyway (and let's not forget the massive touchpad) anyway back to the Xbox, though personally i won't be watching this, i'll figure out what they have at a later point, though it'll probably just be them trying to outdo the PS4, and failing at it, as always

I have to say (no offense), but Sony has some of the best franchises. I mean c'mon, they have Sly Cooper, Infamous, Uncharted, God of War, etc. These are all dang good games. Microsoft doesn't have very good franchises (except for Halo, of course and some other ones). So yeah. It's pretty clear why PS4 wins

Xbox wins i love the console ps is not that good and dont really have that many exclusive games that xbox does i really dont have anything against the ps the ps4 ooo its a touchscreen so better... i own a ps2 and have played on the ps3 before its just i feel xbox it so much better but i know play station has free internet but that means you can get hacked so much easier plus i mean its only 5 bucks a month for xbox live so its not that bad and i love the games the layout the avatars how i connect to youtube and xfinity on my tv so really i simply think xbox wins and cant wait to see the new console has to offer (warning this is a darn opionion argue all u want ive been painting all day im not in the best of moods) you cant say the ps4 has already won because the next console for xbox isnt even out yet so you cant really judge it until youve tried it so there u have it for me

Actually, there is ONE good thing I like about Xbox. Rath is the Xbox exclusive in Cosmic Destruction.

But i have to agree there, it's the ps4.

ok the games are ok it still doesnt got half life does it? unlike xbox i can actually still play old games by downloading even the classics or any old game i want (some still require money but still) i mostly dont see that many exclusive games on there besides little big planet and the new one the last of us which looked preety good but other then that xbox has games old and new and many options and settings that allow me to connect and play games with my friends or family and enjoy co-op or multiplayer on games or if were playing different games i can still chat plus your account and games are way harder to hack on xbox then ps so your account would be safer xbox also has many games i truely dont care what anyone says xbox is my fav console and always will for the experience ive had on it and the journeys of fun allowing me to enjoy better playment and games in the future plus the things a dvd player (so is ps but meh) i am looking to what they can provide for me in da future i have seen little games on the ps that i have enjoyed

if you compare memory and all the detail leaked ps4 is obviously the better choice clearly but people will still buy xbox because tons like it or are used to it and played only xbox when they grew up.

It's an XBOX thread but you guys are bashing it and saying PS4 FTW???
I grew up with a PS1 and currently use an Xbox 360
controller for my gaming laptop which is superior to the PS controller in my opinion.
Therefore to me, such mindless debates are less than trivial.
I like both!

Xbox 360 is superior to PS4 in respect to graphics and I forgot other statistics but what I'm saying is there was little difference between them.
Xbox 720 and PS4 or whatever their names will be, won't be SOOOO different.
As far as RUMOURS go, PS4 will have only slightly better performing RAM and last time I checked, RAM means little to nothing in the high end gaming world.
4GB + and you should be fine with virtually any game these days.
It's graphics, processing and hard drive performance that are the big factors here.
Rumours don't mean much.
And it's going to be a long time before most people will be able to afford either of the next generation consoles...especially these days. The price will be very high at launch.
I still say gaming PCs are better but it doesn't matter. Hehehe...

yes, it is, isn't it? now i can get it before like 2 years until it's life time is up, that also means that i can finally start playing some games blind again i've watched let's plays of games all these years because either A: the game is so old that it's almost impossible to find, or B: i just don't
have the system and i'd rather not wait to see the game, because i'm impatient like that

X, if you compare details from xbox and ps4, ps4 is the better choice but it all depends on you're feel but i'd say ps4 mostly because it was like the only system I used besides nintendo etc and plus if it has higher stats or w.e I'd rather go for it
