Though I'm not entirely sure if everyone has been effected, it seems as though everyone's account has been changed to muted. So far, I can confirm three cases of muted players as of today. If you have not been online recently, please check and report back if you are muted or not, so we can confirm if this is game-wide.

My character (XLR8 147)
has been muted and the blue speech bubble beside the name
has gone for the first time in years.


In fact, it's not even properly muted,
even the menu chat is not working which should work even if you're officially muted.
It's strange what has happened here.
You spammers out there better stop this nonsense before it's too late.
EDIT: Ok, it's happening to multiple characters of mine;
this is most likely a wide spread problem.

Oh ok. I thought spammers were somehow linked to this.
First thing I thought of was CN just getting fed up and switched it off
for a while. But who knows.
If it's from CN, maybe they'll let us know, either that or they'll just fix it eventually.

Anyway, Undelos is right but CartoonNetwork should let the community know
exactly what's going on so we can help. No seriously, with things like
the 7 Legends, Project Revive, tonnes of other art and projects, it shows how dedicated FF fans
are even many years after the initial release of the game!
There can also be compromises and such but the main thing is,
we know what we like! We're the main target audience anyway.

We could really help CartoonNetwork if they just let us somehow.

Example: (bad example) let's say CN weren't sure if new advertising strategies would
be given positive reactions, they could just ask us and other parts of the FusionFall community.

It's possible for a GM in fusionfall to play as a regular character and blend in with other crowds at Mt. Blackhead

I guess maybe it would be a good time to brainstorm some ideas
on the solution to the assumed problem CN are facing with
stupid spammers.

Ok, I'll start:

1) Undelos' suggestion: project boogyman.

2) Kinda the same thing as 1) but they could just IP ban and account ban those consistent
spammers.

3) Implement some kind of chat script that causes multiple (not like 3 times but MANY)
instances of the same message. To prevent tricking the system, a complex and thorough
algorithm may be required.

4) Hire moderators. Even just CN staff that like the game could just pretend
to be regular players, sniff out the consistent spammers and ban them.

5) I'd even be prepared to accept Mount Blackhead not being available if
it means the chat is back up but that's a drastic option and maybe not even as realistic as the others,
plus the location might not matter to those stupid spammers.

Who am I kidding. Just ban the lot of them!

Yeah but the problem is the moderators wont do it for free because they have better things to do,
and part of the reason FF doesnt update is because of the budget.

We could have some regular trusted players but idk that would be hard to choose,

Fusion Fall has turned into a cult classic, which is to say that it has a really small fanbase

Anyway, no offense intended to anyone but....that area of the game
usually is inhabited mostly by lower level players that TEND to be immature.
It doesn't really mean much.
And Project R isn't universally known, you'd only come across it if you go to active fan sites these days.
Especially new players, there's an even lower chance that they've explored the online community of FF.

Eva already called and contacted CN, and FF. Check Fusion Mod HQ. They posted information, and they quit.....wow.....
CN legit did announce it, that they disabled it.. 
They left us in the dark for almost 2 years, SUDDENLY, OUT OF NOWHERE, they come out of nowhere, and smack us in the face with this. 
Nobody is really sure of what happened or why they did this, you guys might wanna go talk to Eva about it. Or go talk to Fusion HQ. They called and contacted CN and asked them about it. 
That's all I know.

I tried contacting CN too but no reply yet.
And we know Maddie, the link to the CN announcement is on this thread and others from yesterday.
Sad that it's probably permanent.

Lol I'm sure that wasn't a factor in this new weirdness... The listener has been down for months, no telling if they have been getting accurate hit counts, they may not even have a good idea about their fanbase. As a corporate entity they kinda lag.
Ftp is supposed to be a way to get money and attention for CN when subscriptions fell off. Updates are the way to keep intrest up, so what were they thinking when they made the game harder to access, and now cut chat? As a business model these guys make no sense.

No. It got out of their budget range from what I heard. But do to that, they had the game stand to where it can hold up on its own but it can't anymore with CN disabling chat. Those ##

I logged onto fusionfall and it asked for my parents email and I put it in and I was at mt b head alone and I was able to speak! I was like O.O

I can talk on the account now because I tried my other acc and I can't talk but I logged back in and I was still able to say something and even 2 other people is with and they are saying the same thing of what happened before they logged in the game
