I just optimised the forum section description images on the home page of the forum
and it seems to have sped up loading times a bit. (They used to be PNGs but then I changed them
to jpegs which aren't transparent but I added the colour at the ends so it won't matter and speeds up the page load.)

Is there anything else I can do to help improve the page load of the forum?
Is it ok as it is?
How about all you people with slow internet connections?

Maybe I have to find a different system for automatically resizing large images
and animated GIFs on posts or something...

Does putting images in spoilers actually speed up the loading time of a forum thread?
I'm sure it does slow down the page by causing lots of images (or frames in the case of animated GIFs)
to be processed at once but does it affect internet connection?
My guess is, it doesn't help in the internet connection department but probably
at least helps speed up the page load due not having to load tonnes of images at once,
and instead loading images one by one.

well i can tell you that the cover images on the forum portal are showing, for some reason they refused to show properly and came out as those symbol things a little earlier

So you can't see the new images??
Or did they load?

Anyway, I optimised the main banner/logo and the XFF website image link too.

EDIT: I can see something like a half second improvement with my internet connection.
Probably a more significant difference on slower connections.
Now I just need to optimise the Xtreme FusionFall website and XFF13 forum.....
It will be worth it I guess since the loading time is pretty bad on the website at the moment.

they loaded, they just refused to show, as in those "image not showing" symbols that we've all seen from time to time, i can see them now though

Your your typing out a response the full box doesnt show up when your on a mobile device and on the full version. So its really hard to edit sometimes :/

Forumotion on mobile is awful. (Good thing is it's fast, bad thing is, there's such little functionality.)
On desktop mode, it should all be ok.
