No one knows if there will be an update next year or at all.

It depends. CartoonNetwork sometimes have to work on other things and they haven't
updated the game for a long time (something like 2 years)
probably because they don't have much help with it anymore since Grigon no longer works on FusionFall. (To my knowledge.)
Grigon is or was a company that worked with CartoonNetwork to make FusionFall.
