| First topic message reminder :I had to take a break from the forums yesterday guys. Been trying desperately to cope with the closing since I get emotionally invested in whatever project I decide to dedicate myself to.
I also havent been able to really put into words (acceptable words) how I truely want to express my feelings on this sudden and disrespectful closure.
However, I did take a look on the closure thread on the official forums and read some of the posts by other players.
From there, I was able to form a bit of my feelings.

Just the mere fact that you THOUGHT that mentioning Heroes would be a good replacement of this game is just disgustfully insulting to me and EVERY FAN HERE.
You aparently are oblivious to the importance and the impact that this Massively Online Multiplayer has had on members here. And you wanna know something else? I hope this gets posted and you see MY message cause it WILL BE IMPORTANT.

(TRUE STORY)
There is a user that played your game that found their only friends in FusionFall. They joined a fansite that was about FusionFall and immediately met other players that were just as passionate about the game as they were. Before this, they didnt have any. They were bullied in school, Shorter than their peers, and wished they had friends.
Did I mention that this player ALSO had Cancer?
They didnt have ANY friends until they found the FusionFall online community. At first, it was just some random site that they got on to just talk to other players. But because the community was VERY SLOWLY growing, it was just a couple of us. So, because of this, we became closer, not PERSONALLY CLOSE like find-yourself-on-a-map close........but we learned a bit about each other and got to know each other. Because of that, this player found a place where they TRUELY felt at home. A place where they werent going to be judged on their appearance but on the content of their character
(literally and figuratively)
From that point on, they had something to distract themselves from their debilitating condition. They blossomed and became a very important and irreplaceable part of our community.
They found Solace in FusionFall and the community that it provided.
THIS IS WHAT FUISIONFALL GRANTS PEOPLE LIKE THEM.
In your eyes, this game is a money waster. Space hog. a potential to put another money waster.
It apparently means nothing to you and its evident in the way that you have handled the situation.
To someone who has to wonder whether the next day will be granted to them, this is their only refuge.
This is ALL True.
I will leave it to my friend to come forward to reveal their identity.
So. I want you to REALLY..............HONESTLY................TRULY think about what I have mentioned and truly decide if you want to take something like this away from a person like that.
And if you DONT find away to even ACKNOWLEDGE the fact that you've even seen this............Then you will have even less respect in my eyes and the eyes of the rest of the community." Just realized..........I had some spelling errors.
I dont know if they'll even approve it. It would be pathetic if they dont. |
