No .AVIs at all??
Are you sure? Maybe it's not AVI, maybe it's a codec in the container.
I can't remember what I did when I had a AVI problem (green on the screen)
but might have involved disabling codecs which I can't remember how to do...
But there is a workaround:
Use a video converter (I have Any Video Converter, again, scan anything because I haven't scanned my software in
months/years!)
and convert it to AVI again or MP4 or WMV or something but
make sure the resolution is the same (if you want similar quality)
and the bitrate should be pretty high. (Maybe 4,000 - 12,000)
That should maintain some of the quality and fix the codec thing.
If it doesn't work, you probably need to covnert to a different codec or container.
AVI is a container not a codec btw. (Don't ask me, I only know basics...
)
