I don't know what kind of genius you are at writing (e.g. genre) but in any case...
This is the internet after all and anyone can copy and paste stuff so although it's unlikely a thieving film director will look on a kid's MMO forum for a script for their next movie...it's still possible.

But this is kinda silly.
Copyright your stories if you know how (seriously, are your parents/guardians forcing you to be a writer when you're older???)
but the easiest way is to just post stories you don't care about or have too much FusionFall/CartoonNetwork content. (since copyrights would prevent the selling of that story anyway)

I don't consider myself awesome at writing (though I am decent in the right conditions) but the only stories I've written on Xtreme are FusionFall fan stories involving characters like my main character, Oliver, Undelos, Hom Choi, etc.
Admittedly, I do have superhero movie/story ideas that I wouldn't likely post here since A. Who would care, B. It's a little irrelevant and serves little purpose and C. Even though it's unlikely my ideas will see the light of day in the movie/comic/book industry (especially since Marvel and DC own so much of that industry and because I'm pursuing a science career rather than an unreliable media career) I still feel like keeping the ideas locked in my mind and notebook for now. Science comes first for me, above graphics, above movies, etc.

Also consider a lot of us aren't particularly keen on fanfics anyway.
(e.g. me...I like visual representations of stories like I did with that thread story about Daemon and Grumpy's transformation but I don't know what everyone likes.)

My advice is either post no stories at all or save your original stuff for your future novels (if you're serious about being the next J.K. Rowling, etc.)
and instead just post little stories you don't care about or FusionFall stories you couldn't publish anyway.

Ultimately it's up to you. It's no big deal.
I'm guessing FusionFall stories are more popular here anyway.
Although I'd recommend using the colon: *asterisk* and visual pictures/memes technique to convey your FusionFall stories. (Like the way I posted my 'Grumpy's Transformation' story thread and those other threads from the past.

i only show certain people my stories since i wanna publish them, but i like telling people about them, and i'd share stuff unrelated to it just for practice  
Story telling is fun, maaybe just start out sharing random parts then, if you wanna publish it, let us know so we can help you make a few bucks

I put that one on hold, and now i'm working on a short story to publish on kindles singles about these kids who run away to california for a weekend and they all have all types of issues, theiving, lying, shy, idk all types of stuff... it's pretty intense xD

If it has CN's property in your story (Mention's their characters by name as well as scenes that only exist in their shows) Then you cant sell it anyway. 


So it doesnt matter Whether they're gonna be stolen or not.......................cause the thief really cant use 'em either!

Well actually, you'd be surprized, for the past year I've been writing down your stories, replacing all the Fusion fall and Cn content with something of my own creation, I've made at least 1,000 dollars a month, but once the books become famous I'll be rolling in it, Thanks to publisher Adam Fruston I have made a bunch of copies, I still plan on hovering over this site to take more of your Fan fics, but I'm just telling you all this because I really wouldn't need your stories with all the stories I took already.

But go ahead Ace, I could use a new book.

Anyway Ace. Yeah. There's nothing anyone can do with your story that will already have copyrighted property in it anyways.

However, to remedy this, never limit yourself to just one story. I know with the comic I'm making, I have been thinking about my own original stand alone story; something completely original.

But I know that if that were to be the case that I'd go and make it, I could see myself using the Original, Non-CN elements from my fanstory in it since THOSE ideas are of my own creation.




You should only lend money that you dont expect to get paid back if you can...................and you should only write fanfiction only if you understand that this story will only just sit there and you cant do anything with.

Its basically a trash/junk story that you felt compelled to write.
Unless you're Bleedman, it wont have any merit, You cant do anything with it, but it will entertain countless others as well as helping you to improve your writing skills.

You must also understand that the story has a small chance of being ripped off.............but thats only if you're really good. 

You have to just accept that if you want to get into Fanfiction.


BUT! The other side to that is, if it IS popular enough to get ripped off, by that time you SHOULD have a decent ammount of followers so not only will they probably be the ones to let YOU know that you've been ripped off, you will feel satisfied and happy with the fact that your fans will know the difference and wont grant this poser the time or day.

Whenever an art thief comes on dA, fans and followers are quick to tell art thieves off and alert the original artist. Its happened to me twice before.
Even had a popular Spyro the Dragon Artist warn me about it.

So dont worry.
Thieving wont start until your work starts to make waves out there...............and most likely by then, you'll have a small army of dedicated fans of your story that will protect your work anyway!
