guys there a new virus going around and is contagist  it called sweet pack and so far iv been infected with the dang virus it screws up your pc and internet and lets more virus in so far I think its gone but we have to be carful now my creepypasta storis might be post pnes due to this virus hopefuley no one else on here got it so this is a warnig be carful

I remember getting my first major virus. It was called... Actually, I can't remember.  It wouldn't let me us anything! Not even my anti-virus software. So what I did was go into my PC's Safe Mode, used the software, and done. No more virus!

Would've been useful to remember that the 2nd time it happened. I had to have my dad restart it. Oh, the things I got up to before I joined Xtreme. :moon:

Pfft. Steve was invincible! Until I gave him to my mum once I got my current laptop. So if you can, try to get into your computer's safe mode. If the virus won't let you use your AVS, anyway.

And I cannot remember how to do that. I've never used it on Windows 8, and I haven't used my old Vista since Christmas Eve.

I think you mean internet security shield Oliver thats what I had at least and it did what exactly Oliver wrote. I fixed it kinda the same way downloaded free anti virus software in safe mode and killed that bug all over the floor it took about half an hour to remove. I have never heard of the ''sweet pack'' virus Jack. Have you downloaded any free games on websites? I know there is tons of ads that lead to fake websites offering free games or ipads and stuff like this. There is also key loggers that track your information just don't enter your real info like credit card numbers and real names phone numbers you could end up losing lots or breaking your computer.

That virus acts as a internet safety program but locks your computer until you pay around $200 dollars and the subscription. It also acts as anti virus but gives you fake scans and random scans saying you have this and this virus over 200 times.

I think I got a virus before on my first and second and maybe my third laptops, Not sure what viruses they were, but I know that they got one.

Just download Malwarebytes from the official site malwarebytes.org
and run a full scan; may take a few hours.
If the virus doesn't allow you to download/launch it, then go into Safe Mode with Networking (meaning that you can use the internet, for example to update Malwarebytes if you haven't done so already)
and then run the full scan.

Remove the detected viruses/trojans/malware and restart your computer if it hasn't already made you do so.
I would repeat the process because some malware might take a couple of scans to be ridden of completely, probably due to it hiding in temporary folders or something. I've seen it happen.

now I use Malwarebytes Antimalware,

Some people are not very tech savvy so I try my best to
make it absolutely clear what is what.
You know, just in case.
And stupidity spans far further than thinking a simple image is a
functional prompt button.
YouTube has one of the largest online collections of human stupidity. 
Particularly in a lot of the comments...you won't believe the lack of logic, rationality
and common sense. It's kinda scary actually.

So yeah, was just making sure that the user is clear.
Also don't want anyone to think you were trying to trick them or something.

(Example situation: a not-very-technically-savvy person gets a virus and then
goes to the Xtreme forum and ends up at your post.
He/she notices the image, then notices the effects of the virus
and thinks "Oh my gosh! Maybe this site gave me a virus???" when there is no link between the two.)

but certain disclaimers need to be addressed for such possible scenarios.
