A man walks by a wide meadow, flowers bloomed everywhere. The colors were like nothing in this world. Though most people forget the small things in life, on the ground you'd see trash as well. The guy had a blank expression on his face, no one ever reacts to these things. He kept dragging his feet around the town. Day by day he'd see the trash, but he kept walking and acted like it was normal. The air choked him at times, his eyes watered. He saw a bench in the park, finally one that wasn't dirtied with chalk. He sat there and tried to relax. He heard tears, a girl somewhere was crying. She was running around frantically, quickly picking up all the garbage, only picking up 10% of the pollution. The tears kept flowing, her hands were all bruised. She had been picking up garbage all day. She fell to her knees in exhaustion, crawling towards the trash, picking it up slowly. People walked by and ignored her, to them she was invisible. The boy came up to her and helped her up. Looking into her eyes he noticed they were completely silver.
"Can you see?" he asked in a curious manner.
"Ye-ya-yeah." she choked on her tears as she replied. "I'm color blind though."
"What are you doing? Your hands are bleeding..." he wondered as he looked at her palms.
"So-someone has to get rid of all the tr-t-trash, it's everywhere and no one cares." she couldn't calm down
"Can I ask why you're hurting yourself to clean it all up? It's not like you can really see the colors on the flowers." He questioned.
"My mother would always tell me about the colors of the world, she poured her heart into it. No matter what she knew how to make me see the colors in my head. The way she saw the world was so beautiful. She kept trying to make me feel about it. I don't want that world to end up ruined!" she cried, "The colors, just sound so beautiful."
The boy smiled and told her to stay on the bench, he asked her to tell him all about the colors as he started cleaning the town as she rambled on. The people around them stared, some smiled and decided to help. As the hours passed more people joined them, in a matter of hours the town was cleaned. One girl who couldn't see the beauty of the world that we took for granted, Yet she knew more about it than anyone.
