| So, here's the thing. A friend of mine let me borrow his 3ds for a few days, and he gave me one of his newest games: Ocarina of Time! First off, I want to say that this is my first Zelda game, so I really have no idea what to do. I just started the game and I already have problems... How do I jump?! Where do I get the sword?! Where do I go?! WHY IS NAVI SO ANNOYING!?!? *Sigh*...Anyway... I was hoping a certain someone could give some tips on how to start. Maybe someone who, oh I don't know, knows a lot about Zelda games, name begins with an O, is a nano combat expert, and has geeky looking glasses along with a ben ten shirt... But what do I know. It could be anyone really. So, yeah, any tips guys? I'm all ears. |

| Uh almost ever single zelda games shows controls when you start the game.. lrn 2 read.. or use google.com or ask.com or settings. Well besides this was one of my fav zelda games I played it on 3ds.. ( if you ask me 3ds is a complete rip off, if you're gonna buy one now you might as well wait for another console to be released. ) hence why I sold the dang handheld machine. Nintendo is dying, lol EA is like backing off from Nintendo. dont get me started on the wii-u so many games have been canceled for obvious reasons.. nintendo is dying out and failing The company's failure to reach its target marks a third consecutive annual loss. Instead of the 100 billion yen profit ($958.5 million) expected, Nintendo now expects to post a 35 billion yen loss (about $335.5 million).if any of you nintendo fans want to read more.. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/17/nintendo-wii-u-failure-sales-flop_n_4618218.htmlThere has been rumors that they are going to make a new console. or hand held.. not so sure which but if its a hand held.. unless it runs 60fps+ and generally on 1080p im not digging it. it better not be another hand held they make needs to be a console.. and they need to throw these small baby games away and make some awesome cool mario games on a console of their own.AAAAAND inb4 oli |

| Lucky for you, I've been playing this for the first time on my 3DS (2nd time in total), and I'm up to the Spirit Temple.
First off, get out of your house, walk down the ladder and talk to Saria (The girl just outside). You have to visit the Great Deku Tree, but Mido won't let you without a sword and shield. You can get a shield for I think 40 rupees in the shop nearby (Near the pond). Just walk around in flowers, throw some rocks and cut some small grass to get some, same for every Zelda game.
To get the Kokiri Sword, look for a hole in a wall. There's one near the Know-it-All Bros'. house to I think the north (Or east). Crawl under that hole, avoid the endlessly-spinning boulder and look for a chest. Now equip the two (I think the sword equips automatically), and talk to the guy outside the hole you just crawled through to learn how to use the sword (Optional). Then go talk to Mido and go to the Great Deku Tree.
Controls:
A - Roll/Climb/Put away etc. B - Also attack X - Use X item Y - Use Y item Circle-Pad - No need to explain what this does L - Target R - Shield
As for Navi... I never found her THAT annoying. She doesn't really say anything to me for 5-10 minutes. At least she never interrupted me as much as Fi did. |

| Thanks oli Okay now I'm at the part where you get the slingshot, after defeating that seed shooting monster (which took me waaaay to long to defeat) Now I'm kinda stuck there, there's a ladder at the very top, but there's no way I can reach that it one jump, any help? And @zero I understand how they say Nintendo may be going down in business, but I really don't care much for what they say, I just enjoy the games they make. That's it.

That monster is a Deku Shrub. As for the ladder, you have to shoot that with a Deku Seed. Btw, Deku Seeds are what you shoot with. To defeat Deku Shrubs, just L-Target them, and use your shield. Easy. Then you have to chase them. Maybe hit them with your sword. Haven't fought those things since Christmas. |

And this is coming from someone who decided to watch what happens after you beat Moldarach in Skyward Sword before defeating it. There are 2 Shiekah Stones located in Hyrule to help you. One next to Link's house, and another in the Temple of Time. Both are 3DS exclusive, so be lucky you're not playing the N64 version. EDIT: And if you don't know where to go next, ask Navi. Just wait for her to say something or play Saria's song and not talk to Saria. If you're stuck on the spot, Navi can sometimes give you a hint if you L-Target something. |

That last one's Spirit Tracks. I never really liked PH when I first played it. But then I realised how awesome Linebeck was. He's the Zelda version of Jack Sparrow. Both games are top-down, and both a controlled with the stylus. PH is like a DS version of The Wind Waker. And you'll be spending a lot of time sailing. Not sure about Spirit Tracks, as I've never played it. |
