| Well, I've seen this project on both youtube and facebook, called Fusionfall ressurection, they also have a forum, does anyone know if any of these projects are still going? They are remaking Fusionfall. |

| Meh......Not really.
There was two groups, one bigger consisting of mainly kids and the other consisting of a few good coders.
The coders kinda gave it a quits because they felt that that there wasn't enough people wanting to get behind the project. |

| As a representative from Fusionfall: Resurrection we actually hit a bump in the road due to modelers and coders being busy but we're getting back into gear and working lots behind the scene. |

| http://projectdevelopment.forumotion.com/t2-open-source-project This is my last attempt to work on this. Hopefully people will contribute here and there as they have time. If not, I'm not going to do everything and the project will die; it's just up to the community. Share to those who are interested. |

| And Hannah asked me to think of some events and stuff! Ya know, being the Game Designer, and all. That was back in January. I've forgotten all about that. I'll think of some stuff... Eventually. |

Events like Birthday Bashes, Knishmas, etc. Here's the full list of what she asked: "- Writing NPC Dialog - Creating Missions - Creating multiple story lines that players will follow throughout the game - Deciding where NPCs and Monsters will be on which maps - Coming up with ideas for Events - Deciding how damage will be calculated (More on this later) - Deciding how difficult it will be for players to level and which items they can use at each level The last (and arguably most important aspect) is helping me to create the Database. If you choose to take the position of Game Designer, I will walk you through Database creation and you will be able to specify how much damage each Item and Monster has, Item and Monster Names, and more. The goal of Game Designer is to create a balanced game with an awesome story." |

That is all dependent on whether or not there is enough interest to actually get things done. Right now there isn't so you might end up not having to do anything . |

| That's not strictly true. The expansion added a dodge system in FF. But it was a bit flawed. To dodge, you had to tap one of the arrow keys twice quickly, we all know this. Though it was only really needed if we wanted to get somewhere quickly, or to avoid an Eruption Attack. And it could also ruin a jump. Sometimes we accidently tapped one of the arrow keys twice when jumping, which, in an Infected Zone, was kinda dangerous. Cause we could fall right into a bunch of enemies, or into Fusion Matter. Nanos already had their own dodge system right from the start; the ABC rule. We all know this, too. Though very little players used it. So I agree with Undelos. Don't know why it took me that long to say those 5 simple words. |

| ~Sigh~ i loved the game, however I realize we are never going to HAVE that game. Video games take a lot of work, because it's not just graphical interfaces and drag and drop ##..... you have to have a decent coder, yes...... we have hannah, but she's right..... we aren't gonna want to take all this time when only a few people are interested.
Everyone wants to contribute with writing story lines, and missions and character plot and ##, we have TOO MUch of that.... even on the FFoF I had scrolled THREADS of people just making up fan fictions, fan missions, and fan names for items.......
The visuals can be made, the stories can be terribly thrown together.......but you are missing the ONE THING that would make this game function, the if's the Thens, The OnClicks, The On Release, the calculating, the databases for saved player data, the guts................... there is no.... SIMPLE way to make a game.
A 25 person would take took 2 years.................. 2 years! to develop a game. That is with the materials and the knowledge of knowing how to build the game..
It's to crazy of a job, we all need to focus on doing OTHER fusionfall related things, it's a memory, it's gone. |

| Hannah, how does June/July sound?? I'm pretty sure most of us have exams to worry about for a couple of months or so. I can't risk messing up academically but in the summer, I can help out with stuff like making maps, story boards, concept art, etc. Or would that be too late? |

| I already had my exams. Both were English. Passed one, failed the other. I'm not sure if I ever passed an exam before. Oh, wait. I passed all the exams last year. One of my friends failed one of the exams by only one mark. |

| Tech TheNoob is right but we only have one coder give or take so we kinda have to make do with what we've got. Making maps isn't hard at all. I made a decent little map for my Escape To Foster's Home Unity game when I was a n00b 14 year old on/off enthusiast in little time. (Few days at most, on and off.) I'm surprised that's our first barrier. Plus we have ripped maps from FusionFall. Or am I missing something? Specifically, what's the current obstacle right now, Hannah? I'm on my phone so I can't look at that .rar file you posted on your forum. Yet. Either way, a lame start is better than a false start. Doesn't matter what we start on, just gotta make some progress. When possible, I could supply my Foster's Home fan game project. The scripts are either outdated or corrupted but it's a base start.

| @Tech:
Yea. that is all too true.
I'm not even remotely naive to assume this can be done without paying special attention to the lack of coders. That in fact, is the uptmost priority.
I dont know, besides you, Magnavox, Wilt, Allen or anyone else that was even in the community with some sort of advanced skills in something computer related that could be even remotely helpful. i.e: Fluent in coding languages, Photoshop skills, experience with 3D models & animation, and anything else I missed.
I think mostly everyone else just consisted of your average players.
But i'm glad that FusionFall DID attract the kind of talent that it did. Shows how much dedication this game got.
The games nowadays are like shoes that dont fit right.
Some are too big, other's are too small.
But there was always that one pair that fit just right. :moon:

Lol that's exactly how I feel. - technoobens wrote:

I prefer ?: to if statements. All of that is actually the easy part as most of it is already done in Atavism. I can send it to you if you'd like; Server Client communication is already done along with most client features. - technoobens wrote:

If all of the members on Wiggio (namely Wilt) told me they weren't interested anymore then I'd let it die. It seems we're not quite at that point yet. - XLR8 147 wrote:

Let's say the entire FusionFall community decides to go their own way and do different things for a year. If after a year there is enough content to make a decent game, I'd come back and help put it together. Obviously I would busy with School/Work but I would still help if there was a demand. This doesn't have to be a continuous thing; however as Tech said, people shouldn't hold their breath. - XLR8 147 wrote:

No maps. The maps that you and others ripped have to be matched to their textures and placed properly into Unity scenes. |

attracting coders to this project is obviously the goal. Its easier said than done though. My fear is that even IF we could, without fail, attract coders to this project.......how many would stay for the finished project?
Besides gaining the experience for it, how many would just overall, enjoy the project that they're making. I have this preset notion that most would want to be involved with projects that involve making games with a feel and theme like Medieval anime, Warhammer, TitanFall, or League of Legends.
I SWEAAAAAAAAAAAAAR.....I still think its a godsend that YOU even showed up Hannah. I kinda ask myself why you stick around.
With your talent, I kinda ask myself, "why is this awesome person with awesome skills trying to help rebuild this game aimed at kids?? I mean.....its a kids game. No one but us goofy bored idiots here are gonna still be into stuff like this. She should be out there making new games like Smite or World of Warcraft."
But I believe you said you love helping out underdog projects.....and judging from your avatar, you seem to have an affinity for cute things.....so I can trust that you may have a small interest in the theme of a lightearted game such as this and eventually harbor some form of passion for it.
But we're not everyone.
And my fear, as irrational as it still seems...........is that we're the only one's in the world that would prefer to see a lighthearted entertaining game geared for kids take off and become playable.....versus playing some super serious Diablo/Dragon Nest/Molten game.
We're so uncomfortably alone. I actually almost dont even know where to start to find people passionate about such a game besides my old CS department. . . . . . . |

| I really hope this can happen. I've seen at least 3 Toontown resurrection projects, some close to Beta now. I realize it's not a simple copy/paste job, but it is a lot simpler than creating a game from scratch. This gives me hope, that if someone has ripped the files that we might get our game back. I just wish it was never abandoned in the first place. I have no talent for coding or modeling, but I wouldn't be against helping out in any way I can. |

| Not to be mean, but I find it hard to believe this is still going on, I mean I am sure if you had somebody who actually funded the project something could go on but people have there own things they WANT to do and DONT want to do. This project is pretty much non profit right? There is nothing in the people who makes this unless they are just curious and want to do design and make games in the future. I give props to people still even doing this lol |
