| A previous post gave me this Idea so I decided to run with it.
apparently not only just me has noticed the degradation in shows on channels like Cartoon Network and the like. well, me personally, I dont even watch CN anymore or other channels because of this reason.
My reason? I'm just not engaged in some of these shows.
I appreciate good witty writing and love it even more when they reference things that only our generation or older will get. I hate the fact that they took all the dramatic action shows like Generator Rex off and literally got rid of the Action Block on Fridays. Shows nowadays arent challenging to watch.
I should probably explain:
Say for instance, you're watching Wil E. Coyote chasing the Road Runner. The plot is simple. Wil E wants to eat the road runner but the Road Runner is just so fast, he literally runs circles around Wil E. You laugh at their antics......you watch Wil E. fail time after time again. Rinse and Repeat. No plot, no other characters, nothing to engage your sense of right and wrong, nothing that makes you stop and wonder if there could actually be an alternate way these two could get along, and nothing that makes it more than just an endless loop of shallowness.
Enter Sym-Biotic Titan.
The mood is dark at some points........and light in others. The storyline is FAR MORE full bodied and detailed. It engages more of the viewers emotions far beyond just the slap stick humor of yesteryear. It makes you proud of their accomplisments, share in their sorrow, laugh with them in their moments of joy, and Fear as they fear when exposed to the path of the unknown that lays before them. Shows like this pride themselves on SMART writing. Rather than it be cut and paste characters, Gennedy wanted these characters to be almost as alive and unique as you and me.
Thats the problem with these cartoons now days.
They're just empty slapstick humor meant to entertain those that are just wanting something to merely entertain them. Kinda like empty sugars in candy.
Now, granted, some ARE actually entertaining. I actually do like the Amazing world of Gumball because the comedy is actually rather witty in itself.
However most are plagued with simplicity. Annoying, dry simplicity.
Nothing that challenges you to think and/or to feel any different from just dumb happiness.Now for the point of this post:It seems like we have little faith in new shows nowdays.
However, I do like SOME shows that I really just wait until they come on Netflix.
One I recommend is Max Steel.
The writing is witty, they throw references in there everywhere, and I just enjoy the mood of the show. its engaging and fun.......but it does come with its bits of cheese now and then.
Not only that, I love the armor....especially Flight. 
another was The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
The characters relationships are more complex than just the usual. They all have a love-hate relationship (More like the Hulk has a love-hate relationship with everybody else) and its so refreshing to see that being played out on what would seem like a kids show. Also, the action doesnt disappoint and the plot is very good too.
Does anyone else have anything they've seen that they would recommend for others like US to watch? |

| Eh, I don't know... I can't get CN on my TV. Plus, last time I could watch it back in January, the channel went downhill to me when I found out they cancelled Samurai Jack, Johnny Bravo, etc. at night again.  So I got nothing. |

| Well i like danny phantom, but that's not really deep xP ahaha It's just always been close to my heart haha Ummm i don't really watch shows much... I tried to watch invader zim today... but that show is so odd, it's also very loud, and not fun to wake up to xD Yeah, i just like danny phantom and code lyoko... Fairly odd parents was great before like 2010 haha but it's kinda the same thing over and over... Sooo yeah... not very helpful  |

| GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.......I tried to watch Danny Phantom. It seemed like the kind of show I'd like..........BUT OMG HIS TERRIBLE BANTER WAS SOUL KILLING!!!! I mean, I know that was the point of the banter between him and the current villian but I swear.
I could NOT TAKE ANOTHER CHEESY JOKE. 
I think they put Code Lyoko on Netflix a while ago. Heard alot about it and tried it out. It seemed to jump into the plot far too quickly and not explain alot all at the same time. I think Im willing to give it another shot though.
But from first impressions, I didnt take to it.
Is Clarence and Gravity Falls as good as I keep seeing? I have a follower on Tumblr who likes to reblog Clarence and Gravity falls stuff every so often. so I was thinking that it was another exception to the sea of simple minded shows but I'm not sure. Are those even on CN? |

| well Clarence is on CN, though i've never watched it (bro orders me away from the channel whenever it comes on  ) and i haven't seen much of Gravity Falls, but it seems kinda good...also it's on Disney XD, and from what i've heard most people don't have that channel |

And it's also on Disney Channel
Code Lyoko....I used to watch that show every evening back when Miguzi was still around... |
