Just one of those thoughts from when you're trying to sleep but your brain is like "nope". Anyway, I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles lately, which has a big, open world that's fully explorable. If you can see it, chances are, you can go there. As you may remember, FusionFall was quite the same. And that made me think...
What if the world of Xenoblade was an MMO? Yes, I got this idea just from having a world you can fully explore. And by big, well...

Yeah, I think you get the picture. Of course, it's not all wildlife. There are also some towns and cities such as Colonies 9 and 6, Frontier Village and more.

Kinda makes me think FusionFall Legacy should dedicate a whole area to user-generated content. Although I think I already suggested something like that.
E.g. an area of the map that has the Xtremists HQ building. Although I guess if FF fans know how to use Unity, custom maps could also be added. If not on the main map, then through some kinda secret-looking teleport which sends you to a separate map.

You still need to convince FMHQ to add the 7 Legends in some way.
As for fan-made areas, I'm not entirely sure you can add them into the game like that unless you send the files or designs to the FFL team and they add it themselves. I dunno. You have more Unity experience than I do.

Bumpety-bump-bump. c:
And also because I finished Xenoblade yesterday (and started New Game+ so I can have some more fun with the True Monado and do some of the quests I couldn't do last time because of my level. ) and was stunned by the final area of the game.
Eons before the events of the game, a group of scientists were... actually, I think it would be easier to show you.
Spoiler:
(Just the first minute or two, explaining how the game's universe was created.) Memory Space seems to be what the previous universe looked like, with Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and the moon being explorable.

And then there's the music:

And it made me think... how awesome would it be if an area like this was in FFL?
