So I'm planning on coloring / re-doing a lot of my art to practice my coloring skills
So In order to not hassle everyone, I'll just keep them here (as long as I remember of course haha)
Melon 10/10/2015:
original:
I am actually so incredibly proud of this... I can't believe I did that ^.^
Of course it's not perfect, But i'm gonna keep working on stuff, and messing around with other styles...
This is gonna be fun!
Sarah 10/11/2015:
Just messing around with different tools and styles ^.^ Learned how to use the blender tool... (whether i used it well or not i dunno xP ) I like how this turned out though
Original:
The Burrito WIP:
And I'm using this video for a "tutorial"
It was just too much effort... And i think i was going about it the wrong way
So I'll probably halt it there...
Headphones WIP:
all the black is from all the transparentness... xP It's a work in progress... The goal is to not need lines, which besides certain parts, would actually be possible...
K Thx Bye

How long did that take to colour in? It looks publish worthy. Can you imagine a fairy tale book starring Glory? This would be one of the illustrations. I like the shadow you put on Glory's shirt. It's subtle but adds colouring depth.

but thanks I don't remember exactly how long... maybe like 3-5 hours?? (it was late at night so time kinda just runs together...)
i'm gonna color another one today ^.^ and maybe try for a different style

How do you avoid going over the edges? Do you just avoid them (as if you were filling a colouring book) or does the software have some kinda boundary tool? Just wondering.

I just avoided them my lineart was pretty thick, so it wasn't too hard BUT like in photoshop, you can create a mask (well they call it something different). If you make a mask for each layer, then you could easily color/shade/etc without going over.. (marcelo does this)

Lol, Glory is remastering Disney classics... ...I mean Glory classics.
Dunno why I said that.... Guess it's nostalgia from those old "buy the all new remastered Disney DVDs" VHS adverts back when DVDs weren't as widely accepted as they are now.
I remember those adverts showed a comparison (little difference lol....higher brightness trolololo?) between the original and remastered and all those DVD extras and TV games (which as a kid, you get tricked into thinking there's so many, and so good that it will bring hours of entertainment.... Sadly DVD extras have never been like that. )
DVD extras....it doesn't take long to go through them all. Especially if it's a DVD from a lazy studio. (Disney is one of the less lazy ones but you get the point.)

hahahahahaha xD
The edition we had for the first Harry Potter always had good extras
man... VHS tho... The sound of it rewinding xD ahaha
and our VHS player would never stay paused, if you paused it for too long (like over 5 minutes) the whole thing would turn off xD man... childhood...
lol but yeah it does look kinda disneyish.... marcie said it looked like it was from TV
I dunno if i'll stick with that style though... I've actually JUST started looking into how to work Krita (like use all the fancy tools rather than just drawing)
I found a better blending tool already, which will help... And i've started using the magic wand tool too to make it less messy...
But we'll see ^.^

OH YEAH!? I'm going to do the most evilest thing I can imagine.... Implant the most horrid thing from the edges of imagination itself to scar you for life!
Imagine me (X) sitting on a chair watching TV and I'm wearing a VHS style / design blindfold....you press play on that VHS sound effects YouTube video and my blindfold starts rewinding like a VHS....
What have I done....
Ya know....I didn't mean for it to be this demented of a vision.... It sounded way more innocent on paper.... But I can imagine this sequence playing late at night on TV..."CartoonNetwork will be back for more Dexter's Laboratory, after the break." BRRRRRRRRRR *rewind sound*.
Enough to give ya nightmares.

The shadowey effect of the CN City style would make it look very demented indeed. But yeah, it sounds cool on paper. But I'm not sure I mean rewind like the whole blindfold rotating or just the tapes rewind at the front like a VHS.... Probably both would be disturbing.
