I'm teaming up with a novelist/writer whose going to use Renpy to make a visual novel rpg.


Here's something I'm working on as a poster of sorts to get some hype going I think. When I color it I'll post it in the +13 xtreme section.


The game's story is pretty simple ,  I just do the art stuff he handles coding , story, and all that fun stuff, music as well.

a drama set in a modern time, where the hero discovers women who eat human hearts & bring their victims into an alternative void. They are lovely & gorgeous but have become a nuisance as well as hunted by scientific agencies wanted to have experimented on them. The hero seeks to befriend & enter in the dimension within their hearts to free a darkness known as Burden.

look at ol' Grumps moving up in the world, and to think that just a 2 years ago he was small and inexperienced, now he's making a visual novel

I can see why a coloured version would be 13+
Bit gory.
But man that poster is well drawn and detailed.

And what's Renpy?
And what bothers me is, why are the heart-eating women considered lovely
but a nuisance? Wouldn't they just be closer to being like blood thirsty vampires?
(Which are neither a nuisance, nor lovely....but savages. )
And why would anyone want to befriend them?
Grumpy it's a trap!

he actually didn't come up with the story, a guy is making the visual novel and asked to work with him, so grumps is just in charge of the art and stuff ^.^

Thanks guys. Yep I got to choose from about 6 stories. This one seemed like one the less weird ones. When I read it I felt like it could be something like "The void within the girls' hearts continued to grow as the tried to fill it's emptiness with the hearts of the people around them. These girls were irregularities from the start, things that shouldn't exist. Able to effect reality and conjure beasts and turn this void of theirs into a separate dimension."

The monsters are going to be sort of relics to the past, the goal is to find out what happened to these girls in the past. The pocket dimensions they control are warped fragments of these sad memories that only keep growing. It's in here where people are sent to be eaten by the monster, leaving no evidence behind. They think that eating human hearts will fix everything but it's only making it worse. The stress of being hunted down also makes it hard to be around them. That rabbit is just a random monster, chances are he's not going to be in it. However, as you go around solving the problem and destroy the cloud of darkness that surrounds her heart, the world changes from dark and twisted to cute and cuddly. The rabbit now at peace, turns back into a toy before it vanishes.

This is the part where I'd like to think all the girls are ghosts of sorts and they all rest in peace when you save them.  I don't think that's what the writer's going for though.

So instead of eating junk food to fill their sadness,  they eat human hearts.

Well I did think the heart-eating aspect was overkill
(wait, is this FF related at all? Or completely independent of FF?)
but whatever the story is, I think you and the writer
will make something great.
So even if it looks strange on paper,
the execution of it will make more sense
of the story. And of course, the art work and script
will improve on it even more.
