I ask no one make any jokes or stupid comments in this thread. If you have not herd, today was the opening day to the Dark knight Rises, the new Batman movie. In Aurura, Colorado, at the premiere at this movie, a lone 24 year old gunman killed 72 people, many of them kids. During the gun face-off part of the movie, the gunman, wearing a gas mask, tear gased the entire theater. During the confusion, and special effects of the movie for cover, the gunman slaughtered all those people. The youngest killed was a 6 year old kid not any older than my very own brother. One witness described seeing a little girl smothered in blood, with bullet holes in her back. I am litteraly crying with grief for these people. A family night at the movies into this. One physco did so much damage. This raises the question is anywhere really safe? I make this thread as a dedication for those dead

This was really sad and I remember a mother and a daughter where going to go but they had a change in plans and it all happened and those people could have died to.

Crazed gunmen... you never know who they are, do ya? (not joking, sometimes they end up really being someone you don't expect, and i swear to god if someone points out that the sniper is a crazed gunman,

I was going to watch the movie on the same day a little after it happened but here in the UK but tickets were sold out.
People like the gun man should die in hell. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE to harm innocent people. An example of stupid humanity.
Kind of makes you wonder if 18+ is really the mentally stable and responsible age and also, weapons of any kind should only be accessible to the army and not some idiot maniac. :moon:
Guns should be left in video games and movies, NOT real life.

What, was the idiot wanting fame reguardless of the kind??? Did he just want to see what it felt like??? Reguardless of the fact, this was all pointless. Depending on the state, this person is going to get executed or spend the rest of their life in jail (hope he gets solitary confinement for this) and it will all be for nothing because just like game show contestants, 15 minutes of fame is shorter than anyone can imagine.

I would say something but best not to ill keep it short...

It just amazes me how far Humanity will go...

Evil and pointless. He knew what he was doing; according to an article,
he had a gas mask, two long guns and a hand gun as well as access to tear gas.
How did he have access to these things? It's unclear at the moment.
Apparently, he also didn't resist arrest and before the shooting, he bought 6000 rounds of ammunition.
I can't believe these things can actually be bought just like that.
I don't know what his occupation was as that could have a clue on how he gained access
to lethal weapons and even then, we don't know WHY he did it.
It seems he was dressed in SWAT gear. This is very suspicious and really just disgusting.

I herd this guy, Holmes is his name, was a video game/TV addict and was kinda off in his own world. Also, you know the guy Bane in the movie (the super-human terrorist who wears a mask), I beleave that the guy was so drugged out by all this TV and had nothing to lose so he turned TV into reality and acted like Bane himself

No No No This guy he got passed security he ##-trapped his house with a bomb he snuck into the Theater undetected this guy is trying to act like some weirdo
