| Hey guys,
Does any of you happen to have the .unity file of FF? I'm asking 'cause I want to see if I can bring open up the game in its cache version. I know those guys at FFR happened to discover a way of running the game, and I believe it's via the .unity file. You may all think "why" and I'm like "let's do it ourselves - the recreation". I don't wanna sit here and watch them edit the source that I've been wanting to have.
Best regards, iMan |

| I have the GBs worth of FusionFall cache files but don't have access to a computer for some time. I would really like to have an offline version of FusionFall with at least basic functionality and perhaps in the future, LAN multiplayer, easy to implement MODs, etc. Do you know if there's a way to check for personal files in the cache? Just weary about getting something like that out on the net. No idea if it would contain such content like usernames, passwords, system information, network information, etc. Anyway, how've ya been, iMan007? Long time, no see. What have you been up to? Just realised I've been to your country recently! I like Scandinavia so far. |

Anyway, how've ya been, iMan007? Long time, no see. What have you been up to? Sup man! Long time no see! I've been really busy these past years with school and relationship and haven't been able to get here as FF had been out of my head for a while. But when I saw the FFR I was like "Omg.. I must try to see if I can open up the bundles so we, the others will be able to make our own server or local server!" and now I am here, lol. That sound great! Let's see if those cache files can be used and scanned for any useful stuff. I've also been working on another anime game, Aura Kingdom which have taught me some lessons with c# and binaries etc. so I've been programming too. Not only that but I made a custom launcher that's able to download files accordingly. As for the offline thingy, yes, me too! Been wanting one since FF was on but never got to work on it due to lack of skills and knowledge. If we teamed up with other enthusiasts then we may be able to extract contents from the bundles. Also those cache only contains the game files so no account passes etc. No worries there XLR! Edit: Once we have the files it will not be too hard to convert the existing Unity codes to the newer ones. ^^ |

| Awesome. Well let's hope someone else backed up the files in the meantime. But if not, then I'll provide the cache when I get to a computer. It may take some time. My laptop doesn't seem to boot and the screen doesn't come on despite lights/fans indicating it's receiving power. I suspect a GPU, motherboard or BIOS failure since I checked the RAM, connected the laptop to a TV (via HDMI and VGA) but nothing....so it's probably something on the motherboard if not the BIOS. If only the screen was the problem, the laptop would have still been able to accept a HDMI/VGA connection but I don't know for sure. |

| Unfortunately, it just isn't as easy as getting the Unity file and pressing a button. We've been hard at work trying to get Retro out, not because we can take the time, but because it has been a massive undertaking having to completely re-write the server from scratch. The game has to connect to something and cannot run locally. |

| At this point, I'd be temporarily happy with a very large demo with the capability of doing missions or at the very least full maps with functioning warp gates. It would just be nice to have some memory of the game in a tangible form. Little demos are nice but they're no substitute for the whole game. I'm still open to the idea of inspecting the game cache. Of course I don't think iMan007 thinks it will be as easy as pushing a button but I wouldn't oppose trying if he has time and patience for that kind of thing. |

Well yeah I expected to hear that. I'm really interested in getting the actual games files and create some custom stuff. I know you guys have been working hard on getting this far and I really like your dedications on this, but ever since you managed to get the game running, I assume you reversed engineered the cache files to get the structure in place, yes? - XLR8 147 wrote:

Inspecting and using the game files in a custom fangame would be so cool! |
