Funny that I originally intended to post one showdown a week and my brain's flooding with ideas that I'm started to do more than one a week.

megas, definatly, because 1:megas is clearly alot bigger, and 2: megas has waaaaaay more weapons than optimus

Jup! If I am correct....this was BEFORE Beast Wars.

Megas may have alot of weapons, but its how you use them that makes all the difference. If I am correct, Shinobi (ninjas, if I am correct) have been depicted to use just a small blade to attack. It may just be the shows that I watch and I feel completely stupid for saying that but If you think about it logically,

Even if they were to use a Katana (Japanese Samurai sword) You never see them running around with a Rocket launcher, a gun, or perhaps even a gun with a silencer on it.

So it's not always about the AMOUNT of weapons you have, it's how you get the job done.

you know, i do play from time to time a game called Shinobi, and your only weapon is a sword and stunning daggers, the game is very hard even on the lowest difficulty setting, i've only played the game on that setting, so i don't even know how hard the other modes are, it actually took me years to finaly build a enough skill to beat it, here is an awesome montage vid about the game, that just proves that you don't need extremely powerful weapons to be awesome:

Reasons why Megas owns Optimus:

1. He has the letters XLR. (Someone needs to kill this pathetic running joke. )
2. Larger weapons and more weapons.
3. A reason in its own right:

I doubt Optimus could perform such a feat, he always seemed like a dull character.
I never liked the transformers movies, too many mindless explosions, the same kind of scenarios and
just random CGI in your face. I wanted to like Transformers because you know...robots are cool but it just didn't interest
me and the characters were boring, including the humans. The only thing good was
the fact they made a wolverine reference and Sam is played by the actor who played Louis Stevens in Even Stevens. (He's a funny guy, watch that show if you haven't seen it lol.)

Some people, even Transformers fans, dont like the movies.

I have a crazy friend that resents the trilogy.

Now! I'm not saying that I am a fan but I'm just considering all the facts.

Optimus can actually combine with other Transformers, more specifically, 5 particular vehicle forms through Powerlinxing (yeah, I may have had to pull up the wiki for this but I knew that this was in the show but I just couldnt remember the details) so it's not like he's bound to that size.

Two, with my still limited knowledge, Optimus can power up his attacks with Energon.


Think i'mma stop here because I know If I carry on, I might get something wrong and shame my entire argument.

I guess Undelos is right. Though I've never actually seen Transformers.

But remember that Megas is almost invincible, and it can run without it's head (Coop may need to do some tweaks to that part).

Not to mention it has buttons like:

- Rip Arms out of Sockets
- Exactly the Same Button Coop Used Five Minutes Ago

And stuff like that.

Yeah that's pretty much what I'm talking about as far as "unorthodox".

Unorthodox simply means, "not normal", "not the standard way of doing things". Because Coop can pull a victory out of his butt by using any hairbrained, backwards, crazy methods that he can think of, it will not be easy for Optimus to predict his next attack.

In a sense, it's kind of like Drunken Monkey fighting versus rigid Karate.

Not only does the Drunken Monkey fighting technique give the person an enhanced tolerance for pain, due to the alcohol, It doesn't allow the person to make "normal" decisions so the person with the Karate fighting style will not be able to predict the Drunken fighter's attacks.


It's always a good Idea to have a general knowledge of both things you're comparing to make the best decision. I know that Coop's a natural by heart when it comes to Mechs and fighting, But I also know that Optimus Prime is a Proven leader, with a deep sense of justice and duty. He will and has done whatever it takes to safeguard peace, even if that required him giving up his own life (Which he has done so twice I believe. Once in the movie CARTOON MOVIE n00bs and another at some point.)
He is the leader of the Autobots for a reason.

Both have their own sense of duty and justice.
They just hve very different "ways" of getting it done.

feel so behind with the fact I haven't seen a complete episode of
Megas XLR yet. ._.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of the toys, movie, cartoon, etc.
The concept is a bit meh...I only like the fact they're robots that
transform and the transforming sound is pretty cool...
but yeah, the movie and cartoon (only seen the classic cartoons, not the new one
that aired on CartoonNetwork.)
could have oh so been much better.

I had a toy when I was really young, it was a black jet (orange translucent pilot window) that could transform
into a humanoid robot and it was pretty cool for a childish toy...I'm taking the word of
my nostalgia..don't sue me.
I would have preferred if transformers was a more elegant concept,
less random explosions, weird energy cubes, etc. Sorry I probably sound
so ignorant but the classic cartoons bored me a lot with their energon cubes or whatever lol.

I'm 21 on a forum about FusionFall.

I'm honestly the worst culprit here. But I'm resolute with that even though FusionFall was built for 11-16 year olds.....It was Adults that made it to begin wiith.

I've never been cracked up about Transformers either but I did enjoy the Movie. I truely liked seeing them transform on the screen.

Of course, my joy in seeing them transform is a bit more particular, seeing as how I KNOW that Optimus Transforming on screen took A TOOOOON OF POLYGONS AND BLEW UP 2 COMPUTERS during the time that the development team was rendering the robot's transformations and fight scenes.

Wait! no, nevermind. It was Devastator that Fried two desktops when they were rendering his scene.


Man, could you just imagine?? rendering 600,000 polys???? That's enough to make ANYONE break down into a blubbering fit.....
And to believe.
That's the kind of field I want to got into. (Not movie making obviously though...)
