Yep, thought I'd start with the Showdowns again. This time, it's two Nintendo characters that fans of their series want a game with them as the main character. First up is...

Friends with Cawlin and Stritch, he hated Link. He even trapped his Loftwing in a cave on the day of the Wing Ceremony. When Zelda went missing, he wanted to be the one to save her. Also wondered where Link was going whenever he went in and out of Skyloft. Thus creating my favourite cutscene of Skyward Sword:
He gets upset when he finds out he's not destined to save Zelda. But when he sees Link fight The Imprisoned, he starts to respect Link. Did I mention he has a crush on Zelda?

Best friends (Or brother of) Wario, he first appeared in the N64 game, Mario Tennis. He is the rival (And complete opposite) to Luigi, like Wario is to Mario.
Not much is known about him. He only ever appears in Brawl (As an assist trophy) and the Mario Sports, Kart and Party games. He's also portrayed as evil (What a surprise) and a loser. He's also my favourite driver in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2! I spent the whole race in 1st AND he has good handling!
And in case you're wondering, the 'Wa' means 'bad'. Bad Luigi.
