everybody knows nicks longest running show but where did it all start.. this show was first submitted to adultswim but was rejected for looking to cute.. it makes sense if you think about some of the names mr.krabs the town spongebob lives in.. so the show sat a few more years until nick picked it up the shows start was in 1999 and is still on going to this day.. there ya have it

Awful shows. Yeah I know...not meant for kids anyway but
when you've got nothing to do in the evenings at that age,
you didn't have a choice!
Same with TCM. (Though probably I'd choose TCM over Adult Swim....dunno...whichever is less scarring....FOR LIFE... )

Spongebob is basic. I don't like Basic things or basic people.
And no xtreme, the horror started when Nickelodeon turned into garbage.

@Maddie, that's interesting, though I've never had Nickelodeon but yeah, live action on
a cartoon channel isn't the best of ideas.
What's worse was my CartoonNetwork at the time wasn't 24 hours a day.
Oh well.

How could Spongebob have been made for something that didn't even exist at the time? Adult Swim started in 2001 on Cartoon Network whereas Spongebob had already been running for 3 years prior on Nick. (SB started in 1999).
