In your opinion, is Adobe Premier better than Sony Vegas for editing? (Not compositing although you could comment on that if you want.)
Or have you not used Vegas before?
There's no such thing as a perfect editor.

Windows Movie Maker - lack of features and the new one's interface is a bit odd.
iMovie - a bit of an odd interface.
Sony Vegas - LAG. But features are pretty good.
Others - either too complex, lack features, too slow or doesn't allow sound to be used in the editing process.

Someone should make a Windows Movie Maker Sony Vegas hybrid but really fast!
Heck I'd settle with Sony Vegas just being faster! (Editing AND rendering.)
Vegas also tends to have technical issues a fair amount. (E.g. black clips, etc. )

Wait actually I think most editors are slow with HD videos...

Sony Vegas IS slow. Too slow for me.

If Windows Movie maker 2.1 had more features and didnt freeze up like it usually does, it would almost be perfect.

Where Premiere likes to punk out when it comes to dealing with .AVI files, WMM takes it on like a Boss.

Creating a GOOD video with WMM takes skill and ingenuity. Most dont have it so they make ## movies with it.
Dont really care too much for iMovie.........although I DO like the sound effects and clips!

I am amused by the pro-talk, continue... also, nice work with the video. Now i am off again to assassinate yet another person who's name i can not remember and i do believe it starts with a silent Q. Also i do believe i was here once with one of the more 18+ jokes, but it was very mild.
