That night, I heard Marcus stirring in his sleep. He had fallen asleep close to my cell, so I went over to him and put my hand on his arm to try and comfort him. He woke up and looked at me. He smiled and closed his eyes again. Even though he couldnt see me, I smiled back and layed down. When i closed my eyes, the same image I saw when I had blacked out came back. This time though, the entire thing played out. Marcus' dream copy leaned in. "Im proud of you, Kitty." His lips met mine. Even though it was just a dream, I felt myself blushing. Marcus' chuckle woke me up. When I opened my eyes, he was looking at me smiling. "Dreaming about me now, are we?" I thumped his shoulder. "Hey, not my fault that I saw your dream" I was confused. "wait, what? How did you see my dream?" I asked. His eyes slanted a bit. "You showed me. I thought you were trying to." I shook my head. He shrugged. "Dont worry about it. But just to warn you ahead of time, dont you go getting all lovey dovey. I dont like that stuff. If you do you will lose your title of Killer Cat." I nodded and pulled my hand from his arm. "Goodnight." He whispered. "goodnight"
The next morning, I was called into Masked's lab. Two guards came and got me. They tried to grab my arms but I jerked them away. I looked back and glared at them. "Dont.Touch.Me." I growled. One was about to fight me about it, but the other stopped her. "Relax Emily. I know you arent fond of her, but you must respect her wishes." I looked at him shocked. He was taking my side? Weird. They led me to the lab. When we approached,they backed up and left. I stood there for a second then opened the door. I poked my head in. "You wanted to see me Sir?" He turned around. "Good, your here. Help me out with this serum over here." I walked over. It didnt take long for me to realize what he was doing wrong. "You dont have the right mixture. With that mixture you are sure going to make a tiny explosion. Now if you take this" I grabbed a vile. "and this" I grabbed a powder from the shelf. "You will get the perfect combonation for the sleep serum you are trying to make." He looked at me shocked. "How did you know I was making that?" I shrugged. "Easy really. Common mistakes made in making the sleep serum made it a bit easy for me to guess." "And how did you know what ingrediants to add?" I walked over to the shelf and slid my hand along the edge. "My father taught me. I easily memorized it. For emergencies or harmless pranks, of course. Nothing serious." He nodded. He motioned for me to come over. "Come help me pour this into a needle." I followed him. What I saw made my blood freeze. There were blood samples everywhere. Along with needles and serum mixtures and text books. "Sir?" He chuckled. "Please, call me Austin." I nodded. A simple name for a guy of this level of creepyness? Insane! "Whats all these textbooks for?" Another chuckle came from his lips. "I teach Nicklous about serums and sorts." I nodded. I went over to the sink and started the task Austin had given me. A few minutes later, just as I was pouring the last few drops of the serum into the syringe, the door bursted open. "I DID IT AUSTIN! I MADE THE STUN SERUM!!!!!" I dropped the vile with the serum. Nicklous and Austin looked at me. I smiled shyly. "It.......slipped." I said covering up my mistake. Nicklous seemed surprised to see me there. I cleaned up the mess i had made and went over to Austin. I cleared my throat before speaking. "anything else you need me to do?" He shook his head. "Nothing comes to mind. You can go back now. Thank you for your help." I walked back with the same guards who brought me up here. One day down, I thought to myself. Two more days left.
