"You know, you must watch what you say, Winters. Your words could get you killed one day. Sad enough for your sister, that day is today. I wish to get the honor in your next life to fight you myself and end your puny life for good." The pressure from the sword on my neck was increasing. Then I realized, I wasnt afraid of death. If this were to be my last life, I wouldnt have cared. At last second, the pressure became unbearable and my world went black. I opened my eyes and stood in a black void. Had this really just happen? Did I really just die like that? No, impossible. Out of nowhere, someone appeared. It wasnt who I thought it would be, either. Marcus appeared from the fog. "You did good, Kitty. You gave it your all and listened to my advice. Succeed and win or die trying. You died trying. You are forever going to be an inspiration to the kids who went through what you did." He walked over to me and put his arms on my shoulders. He leaned in close. Our noses inches from each other. "Im proud of you, Kitty," Just before the unthinkable happened, Marcus faded and I started to come back to my senses.
I woke up laying on the throne room floor. My sister was being held back from Lord Jonathan. She seemed to be going on a rampage. I rubbed my neck at the memory of being killed. I got up and made my way back over to them. "Let her go." I said in a calm voice. Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me. They looked as if they had just seen a ghost. Just then, Masked came out of nowhere, nodding his head in approval. "Very impressive my dear child. I knew you had potential. I just knew it. The tests were correct. Exact same results just faster were shown just then. You are truley amazing, my dear." He said. I scowled at him. I walked closer to my sister defensively. "If you think Ill do anything for you, your wrong. I wont let me, especially not my sister, get tested on. Your a cruel monster. Just a few hours ago, you were going to test on her, and you expect me to accept your compliments?" He shrugged and stepped closer. "They are just complimants my dear. Im not asking for a partnership or anything. Though, that doesnt sound like a bad idea, I know youd just decline the offer. Even if it provided you and your beloved sister safety by all means necessary." I looked over to her. "your call" she mouthed. I sighed. "Only if she isnt, under any circumstance, tested on. Do you understand me?" I said protectively. He smiled. "I understand whole heartedly." At that moment, an explosion went off somewhere in the city. Jennifer and I were led back to our cells for the night, unless we were needed. An hour passed, and the big metal door opened once again. Two guards came in and opened a cell. I saw who they had just thrown in. Marcus was caught once again and sat in the cell next to mine. I smiled and shook my head. He chuckled. "I guess this place was made for me, eh Kitty?"
