The download is something like 15GB so it definitely would take a long time
even on fibre optic broadband. (You'd be lucky to have fibre optic...that stuff is fast!)
This is the main reason why I stopped bothering to download it.
I didn't think it would be worth it but then again, I didn't have that much hard drive space.
I would recommend to ONLY continue downloading it if you:
-Really want to play/try the game. (Who wouldn't? It's a superhero game.
)
-Have a decently fast internet connection.
-Allow the DC Universe Online downloader through your firewall with full access. (as to not
slow down the download speed....although if it's going at around your max speed already, there's no need
to allow it through your firewall with full access)
-You have more than enough GB of internet allowance usage. (Unlimited is better though.)
-You have more than enough space on your hard drive. (More than 15GB may be required
since new files may be written and more downloaded via patches and updates, etc.
and also you just need a reserve amount of GB for your system to be stable enough anyway.)
Hope that helps. But yeah it's normal to wait a long time to download 15GB.
But if it's taking you a month.....maybe that's too long....
I don't know how long it would take but I would estimate perhaps a few days depending
on your internet connection. While it's downloading, I think it tells you the download speed
and estimated download completion time but I'm not sure.
