please help, I am doing this speach with another person on stage its going to be back and forth. He told me to practice in the mirror alot, I am gonna start doing that but I dont have much hope of remembering everything any tips

Write the speech on bits of paper or on your hands? That's how I learned it. Problem is, I have terrible stage-fright. :sigh:

well I mean it cant be that tough the only thing that makes me nervous is the feeling that im gonna read this over and over and forget.. -_-, I mean any tips anybody.
Its going to be like a flowing back and forth conversation speach...
its comparing my middle school grades to 8th grade with a staff of a group member (city year)

I wonder what's worse singing the national anthem, live or this.

do what i do turn it into a song to memorize then iin a little bit you can memorize without the song



20 mins guaranteed (well for me that is)

Memorize by punctuation mark, that's what i do.. it helps get the repitition you need.

When you se the first mark, then repeat it until you memorize.
When you have it memorized, then you can move on to the next fragment.
Then when you memorize the second fragment,
put the first and second together and repeat until memorized.
Continue like so.

I memorized a 100 line monologue by brutus in julius ceasar and presented it to my class..
Another thing that helps is make sure to move your lips. Don't just think it. Then you will have muscle memory... whisper or say it aloud if you must.

Also having a general idea of each main point you say will help you, it can also help you improvise if need be

also remember some of their lines too so your not totally lost. aNd practice with pauses...

Also, speak with feeling, as if you 100% love and agree with what you are saying.

Another way, make it fun! When i memorized jabberwocky (in 7th grade) i tried to do it with an accent and also see how fast you can recite it all
i can still recite the jabberwocky in under 30 seconds xP hahaha

I also pace and stuff

repetition repetition repetition!!!!!

And make it interesting


that's all i can do  just try your best, and with crowds, pretend like your talking to someone you care about

Im not going to get graded, I kinda volunteered for the heck of it. ._. Its a back and forth speach of one of the adults at school that helped me raised my grades.. explaining how my story and progression went and success to where im at now

yeah i would just say know what you're talking about.
because then it doesn't really matter, and in case you ever forget any of your lines i'm sure your teacher will help you out

yeah pwnzer, he told me its going to be like a flow convo not a serious read down one

Just practice everyday read it to someone like your mom, friend, brother whoever. Read it before you go to sleep and  in the morning. And when you read your speech and mess up laugh and try to play it off. If you forget your speech just start making stuff up I guarantee you it could work.  Or you can just rage and start punching the first person you see.   lol either way works
