I would just advise to never start drinking or smoking EVER.
It's better that way.
Alcohol is just a bitter tasting poison with
addicting compounds to make you have an "acquired taste".
And it's just a stupid social thing.
And it's also a commodity that kills you slowly
and gives you a higher likelihood of many diseases,
including that of the liver. (Including due to stressing the liver as
it has to work harder to detox/remove toxins from your body.)
I wouldn't want to support my executioner, know what I'm saying?
Don't support the companies that want your money at the expense
of your health. (I know good people work in those businesses but that doesn't justify
its existence.)
It also makes people act crazy. (Domestic and street violence skyrocket
when alcohol is involved.)
Alcoholic drinks have never been good for anything.
I despise alcohol (drinks) the same way I despise
tobacco (cigarettes). Just industry poisons that society has fooled people
to think it's "ok in moderation". Would taking cyanide in moderation be helpful?
Half the dosage to make you ill? It would still cause damage.
No such thing as a "safe dosage". Trust me. (Unless it's so small,
its effects are demonstrated beyond your lifespan but let's not go there...)
Have you heard of "beer belly"?
That's because of the estrogens found in alcoholic drinks.
As well as the high caloric content of alcohol. (And empty poisonous calories at that.)
I understand Grumpy's rebellious alternative point of view (although that being shot on air thing
was random...
) but it's
only valid advice if his audience are alcohol-drinking adults that cannot
and will not bring themselves to completely quit alcohol. (Which they should.)
But Xtreme's demographic is mostly kids and teenagers.
(Obviously some 20 somethings make a big percentage too but
not all of them are drinkers.)
Just don't jump on the alcohol/drugs/tobacco bandwagon no matter
how much your friends tell you to, no matter what age.
It's a bunch of nonsense.
My honest advice.
Even if I didn't have responsibilities in ensuring no
negative influences are given to child users of the forum,
I would stand by the same advice to anyone no matter what age.
You're never too old to start looking after your mind and body.
Yeah I know I sound like a tree hugger. So sue me.
