| This is going to be one of those philosophically/psychologically deep threads. Why does FusionFall not seem as nostalgic as it used to be back in the good ol' days? Ever since I got my new laptop. (Back in 2011 I think.) I'm guessing at least one of the following reasons: -Newer computer runs FF with more frames per second, changing the experience. (Frame rate changes the feel of a game. And I guess the speed in a way.) -Higher resolution and bigger screen may affect the experience. And field of view, particularly with the proportions of things on the screen, including the GUI interface and the character. -The Future is gone. -Future people aren't coming online as much. (Particularly because they're older and have to study/work more or something.) -I've become older and just don't feel the same about FF. (Mentality change or possibly fatigue.) What do you think? Or am I alone on this? |

I realised back in 2011. But one of Undelos' threads brought this back to my attention and I wanted to make a thread lol. What do you think? Is it the FPS? Or all the above? |

Honestly, to tell you the truth......its what you get out of the experience of FusionFall that determines how much you care for it.
Take for instance, Me.
It's my ONLY excuse for producing art nowadays. MY ONLY EXCUSE. If it wasnt around, god. I dont even want to think about it.......
I would be "##" at art compared to what I am now and the though of that frightens me. I see myself eventually making a comic based on the community of FusionFall. I have FEVERISHLY been practicing, half stressed out because I feel I'm not as good as I should be, and feel bad that I also procrastinate on practicing.
I get something TRULY out of it. I guess others here just play it every so often but dont have any other reason for staying with it.
It would be nice if the community could provide a reason to stay engaged to FusionFall.

| People stay because father loves and cares and makes them work for him Undelos you gotta experiment with other games. It would be a shame to see you quit art because this game shuts down. |

| Anyone who's get's this feeling about video games knows this feeling. It's been described as "Nostalgia Glasses". You remember what you loved about that game, all the hype that was around the game...how popular it was, etc. I usually get this feeling when I'm playing one of my PS2 games or an old flash game. The thing about Fusion Fall though is that it was a basically ran over and no one bothered to get an ambulance! What I'm trying to say is that the week or so it stopped getting updates,EVERYONE knew something was wrong. We can't blame Trion or Cartoon Network, because maybe they just ran out of ideas/lost the funding. My point is that this game's community is so strong, that all of us are hoping it comes back to what it was back in 2009-2012. But,alas...it may not be ment to be....so it wouldn't be a bad idea to broaden your horizons, while keeping FF in your side view. People shouldn't quit gaming because one great game goes down. If that happen then we wouldn't have the brilliant minds behind Final Fantasy,Elsword,Metal Gear Solid, etc etc. |
