yes guys, part 3 is here, i've been putting this off for the last couple weeks, been getting some ideas fully together, but i think i'm ready, so let's start, Chapter 1: All Alone:

LAST TIME: The 7 (or 5 rather) Legends discovered Slim had returned. They began a journey across the world to face him, meeting new allies, Target: fearless leader of Critical X, Grumpy: mechanical and sheeply genius, and Dannybosa: Chief of the Bosa Bosa Tribe. After conquering many obstacles, they arrived at Slim's HQ. There, they were forced to relive the past, and face it. Once meeting Slim himself, Slim released Lord Fuse, forcing Zane to face him alone. Slim revealed to Zane that he was just a spirit, and that he had created a body for himself. Slim explained that he was the reason 7 Legends member, Rex Undelos, was missing. After a long battle, Zane had conquered Slim, and the rest of team conquered Fuse. They barely made it out, but Zane was left trapped, and possibly dead.

IN-BETWEEN TIME: Everyone went to normal lives, Alice remained in wait for if Zane ever returned.

THIS TIME: Zane awoke in a strange, desert like area. "*Cough Cough* Woah! Where am I?!" Zane thought out loud. "Hello!? Is anyone out there?!" Zane called for...anything. "Well if no one's answering, I guess I should just start walking." And so Zane began walking, and as he did, he remembered, in sort of a hallucination, the events that had brought him here. From being on the street, to death, to cybernetic revival, all the way to his last battle with Slim.

Zane had been traversing the vast desert for quite a while, and he, in spite of his enhanced abilities, (that allow him to go longer than the average man without food, water, or rest) was tired and exhausted. "Can't...go on...Have to...take a rest." And Zane collapsed, and whispered, "Alice..." He was left there, on the ground, stranded in the desert. But not long after, some people came, and noticed him there. "Hmmm, and who might you be young man?" One of them asked. "Unconscious? Well, if he's not an alien, we should take him with us."

welp, it's time for, Chapter 2: Unknown Territory:

Zane awakened to find himself in a somewhat rundown clinic. "Huh, now where am I?" He asked himself. "You're in our Treatment Wing." A man was on a set of stairs. "What?! Who are you then?" "Relax, the name's Kyle. And you are...?" "Zane, Zane Sunboskov. What is this place anyway?" "As I said before, the Treatment Wing." "I got that, but where are we in exacts?" "Well before, this would've been a town. I don't remember what it was called though." "Before what?" "I'm guessing you're not from around here, right? I'll explain later." "Fine, so what now?" "Now I have to go and report that you're awake. If you're feeling up to it you can come along." "Alright." Zane climbed out of the bed, and followed Kyle through some cracked halls. Once outside, Zane found they were in an arid town, probably close to a desert.

As Zane and Kyle walked through the town, Zane noticed that there wasn't a soul to be found. "So where is everybody?" He asked. "Inside, we've been discussing current situations, things have been looking grim." Kyle answered, with a worried looked on his face. "The Meeting Hall is just up here." Zane and Kyle entered the Meeting Hall to be met with more people. "Hey Kyle, I guess this is the guy we rescued?" One of them said. "It's Zane." Zane responded. "Ooo tough guy." He said sarcastically. "So what's going on?" Zane asked. "It's called a meeting. We're in the Meeting Hall, duh." "Don't mind Ausi, he's just a jokester." Kyle told Zane. "He kinda reminds me of Hom." "Who's Hom?" Ausi asked. "Just a friend of mine." "Well I've never heard of him, so he's probably not from around here, like you." Kyle said. "What's going on!" The man at the end of the Meeting Table yelled. "Nothing your highness!" Kyle and Ausi answered, and bowed in apology. Zane, not knowing what to do, continued standing. "Get down Zane!" Kyle whispered. "Who is this!" The "King" yelled. "Oh right." Kyle thought, and rose to his feet. "This is Zane Sunboskov, my team and I discovered him unconscious while out in the desert." "Hmmm, well I've never heard that name. Where are you from young man?" He asked. "To be honest, I really don't know, but I'm definitely not from...wherever this is." "Well then I'll deal with you later, for now we must finish the meeting. You are dismissed, Zane.

After the meeting, of which Zane did not know what it was about, he was called to see the King back in the Meeting Hall. "So what's your actual name? I'm curious." Zane asked the King. "Ah yes, I've yet to formally introduce myself. My name is Dane Dweller." "And as you already know, mine's Zane Sunboskov." "Now then, you said before that you're not from anywhere near here, correct?" "Yeah, and this place doesn't seem to even be on my home planet." "So you are saying that you are an alien to us?" "Yep." "Well you don't seem to be one of those Fuse Goo creatures, so I'll allow you to live." "Wait, do you mean Fusions?!" "If that is what they are known as to you, then yes." "So this is another planet taken hold by Fuse?" "Yes, though we are in shambles, the armies seem to have stopped lately." "That may be a result of my world killing Fuse." "Your people killed Lord Fuse?!" "Yes, it's hard to believe the armies are still standing. I think you can begin rebuilding from here." "I suppose we could, but first we will work on a way for you to get back home. I'll have a party ordered in celebration of this news!" "I'm not one for parties." "Please Zane, you must attend! You were a part of the people that ended Fuse's terror!" "If you really think I should, then I will." "Great. Now, we must hurry to prepare for the celebrations!

The next night, in one of the old ballrooms, a party was scheduled. Most people attended, however, this being just after the news that the war ended, many were left away. Zane and Kyle, being "friends" sort of speak, were hanging out in a back corner, not really into crowded parties. "So you'll be leaving after this?" Kyle asked. "Not quite, I still have no idea how to get back home." Zane answered. "Alright. What's it like where you're from?" "It's nice, the city is spectacular in views. The Suburban areas are peaceful, a vast jungle lies up in the northern areas." "Cool."

The two continued with the conversation, until a girl walked up to them. "Hi boys." "Hey Zoe." Kyle responded. "You know her?" Zane asked. "Duh, she's in my team, she helped rescue you." "Okay then." "So he's the guy we found? You're not from this planet, right?" "Yep." "You know you're kinda cute. Do you maybe, wanna dance?" "I uh" Zane was caught off guard, so Kyle pulled him back for a second. "Zane, she's a girl, and she's asking you to dance. What's the hold-up?" "First, I've never danced with a girl before. Second, I've never dated a girl before." "That's uh...that's kinda sad." "Don't rub it in." "'Kay. Now just relax, and dance. Not like a maniac, but like a mannered person. Tango or something." "That, I can do." "Good, now dance like you've never danced before." They both went back to Zoe. "Zoe, I will dance with you." "Great! To the dance floor!" The two went to the dance floor, starting up a tango. Zane was a little awkward at first, but he got in the rhythm eventually. "I'm guessing you've never danced with a girl before?" "You're about right." "Well you're still a pretty good dancer." "Thank you." They continued dancing, Kyle watching in the back, a bit happy for Zane. Finally, their dance ended. "That was fun! We should do this again some time." "I'll be looking forward to it." Zane and Zoe parted, with Zane going back to Kyle. "So, how'd it go?" "Pretty good." "Good. the party's almost over. We can talk about whatever until it does." "'Kay." And they went back their conversation, talking for the rest of the party.

alright, it's time for another chapter old chaps, Chapter 5: To the Shrine:

After the party, King Dane called Zane back to him. "Now why am I here?" Zane asked. "Well I think you'll be happy to hear we may have found a way for you get back to your home." "Really?! How!?" "It's not quite what you'd expect, but it seems there's an old shrine off in the desert. There's a spirit there that may be able to send you home." "Great! How do I get there?" "Kyle's team has a vehicle for desert crossing. If you look hard enough, you should be able to find it. They should be waiting at the garage." "Alright, I'll see you...when I see you." "Farewell Zane."

Zane headed off to the garage, and sure enough, Kyle, Zoe, and Ausi were there with the vehicle, and someone else. "Hey Zane. I'd like you meet Ace, the best driver around here." Kyle greeted. "So where exactly is this shrine?" Zane asked. "It should be around the mountains somewhere." Ace explained. "Yeah and on the downside, those mountains are WAAAAAAY over there." Ausi pointed off into the desert. "Don't exaggerate Ausi. They're not that far!" Zoe corrected. "Can we just get moving already!?" Ace shouted. "Agreed. Let's move!" Kyle said

Zane, Ausi, Kyle, Zoe, and Ace, were driving toward the mountains. The guys were trying to find some music. "How 'bout this?" Ace asked. "Woah! Yeah-ah! Totally awesome!" "I like this one!" Ausi exclaimed. "We are not going surfing at the beach." Zane pointed out. "Okay. This?" "Babay, babay, babay!" "Turn it off! It's hurting my ears!" Ausi yelled "Alright Alright! Ah! How about this?" "Oh now this is road trip music!" "Ya got that right!" "Are you guys done with music selection already?" Zoe asked, annoyed. "Yep." And so, with cool music, they headed towards the mountain shrine.

As Zane, Kyle, Ausi, Zoe, and Ace were heading towards the Shrine, Kyle noticed something in the distance. "Ace, stop the car!" "Okay okay." Ace stopped. "So what's up?" Ausi asked. "I wanna have a talk with Zane." "Alright, shoot." Zane replied. "Not here, up on that hill." Kyle pointed to a mildly large hill close by. "'Kay."

They both went up the hill, it had a clear view of some sort of ruin. "You wanted to show me this?" Zane questioned. "Yes." Kyle answered. "Are you gonna tell me what it is?" "It was our capital city, it used to be called Faler, now it is a mere ruin without a name." "What happened to it?" "When Fuse came to this world, the first of his meteors landed there, followed by many more. They're sheer numbers overpowered us, and we were forced to abandon the capital. Now it seems even Fuse has forgotten it." "You can rebuild it...can't you?" "I can't say for sure. Before the armies stopped attacking, I noticed a large number of them headed here, almost as if they were preparing for something." "You're worried if they're regrouping, aren't you?" "I guess, but right now we need to get you home." "Don't worry, if they made a move, this city is pretty far from civilization, you'd have time to prepare." "Good point. We should get back to the others." "Right."

They went down to the hill back to rest of this team. "So what happened? Anything bad?" Zoe asked. "Nothing really." Zane answered. "We should get going." Ace suggested. "Then go." Ausi said. "Just making sure you were all ready." And they started off again to the Shrine, getting ever closer to their destination.

alright, now it's time for, Chapter 7: Hidden Entrance:

The whole team had arrived at the mountain, strangely green and peaceful, unlike the endless desert below. "So uh...where's this Shrine supposed to be at?" Ausi asked. "How should I know?" Zane answered. "Just look around, it's bound to be somewhere." Kyle ordered. Everyone took separate ways, with Kyle and Ausi taking the area near the mountain's path up, Ace watching the vehicle, and Zane and Zoe scouting farther up. As they went up, they had yet to find anything. "Ugh! How far up does this Shrine have to be?" Zane complained. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure we'll see it eventually." Zoe comforted. "I guess you'e right...Hold on, I think I see the summit." They raced to the near in sight summit, and yet, there seemed to be nothing there. "Wait, where is it?! There's nowhere else to go around here!" Zane said, a hint of anger in his voice. "Zane, you shouldn't be so mad. Maybe it isn't such a bad thing if you can't return home." "What do you mean?! Everything I ever knew was back home! You have no idea what's been taken away from me!" "Calm down! I may not know what your life has been like, but I do know that you pushed past whatever it was. And maybe I kind of like..." "Wait...pushed past it?" Zane noticed an indent in the nearby wall. "If I'm right, then if I..." Zane pushed on the wall, which revealed a secret passage going down. "Aha! This is the entrance." "Great work! Let's go get the others." "Right."

After gathering the rest of the team, everyone descended down the passage. "You know this doesn't seem to be leading us anywhere." Ace pointed out. "We'll be there, just keep going." Zane replied. After a bit more walking, they saw a light near the bottom "See, I told you." Zane gloated. "Don't even bother."

The Team reached the bottom, opening out into walkway, water shimmering on the sides from the light. On the end was a large set of stairs going up to Shrine's top. "Wow!" Ausi exclaimed. "So beautiful!" Zoe said, mesmerized. "Well while you ladies are staring in aw, we'll be going in." Kyle joked. "Hey! I am a man!" Ausi shot back. "And I'm just going to take that as an insult!" Zoe retorted. "If you guys are done arguing, I'll be on my way." Zane said as he was walking towards the steps. "Ausi and I will stay back to make sure there's nothing dangerous." Kyle explained. The rest of them headed up the stairs.

Upon reaching the top, they were met with large platform, water was in a strange pool in the center, markings littered a wall in the back. "Hmmm, strange." Zane said as he looked at the markings "What is it?" Zoe asked. "These marks are strange. I wonder what they mean." "It's probably nothing." Ace said. "I suppose you're right." Zane replied. "Now what are we looking for?" Ace asked. "I'm not sure. If we look around we're sure to find something though." Zane answered "You don't need to look." A soft voice answered. "What?! Who are you?!" Zane questioned. An aura of light appeared. "I am Mei, Guardian of this Shrine. Who are you and what do you seek?" "I am Zane Sunboskov. I am here to request return to my home." "I see, and who are these two?" "I'm Ace Cometshark." "And I am Zoe Bioshine." "I see." The aura turned into the figure of a woman. "However, I'm afraid that I cannot complete your request, Zane." "Then..." "I do however know know of a way for you to return home." "Really?! How?!" "Below this Shrine is an ancient city. The civilization there ended long ago, however, their old technology has the ability to open portals throughout the universe. You should be able to use it to return home." "Great! But how do I get down there?" "In that back room, you will find a passage leading down to it. I wish you good luck on your journey." The Spirit vanished in a flash of light. "Okay, we have our destination, let's get going." "Right." "To the City!"

Zane, Ace, and Zoe went into the back tunnel, a long spiral down. "Spooky." Zoe said. "Yeah, it's so quiet and dark you get the chills. Why, something could just pop out and scare us, like BOO!" Ace exaggerated. "Eeep!" Zoe jumped. "Hehehe." "Not funny." "But so worth that reaction." "Hey, I think the see bottom." Zane said.

They reached the bottom, a very dimly lit ceiling lamp was all the light there was. "Is there another light around here? It's hard to see." Ace asked. "No need." Zane said as he lit up his eye light. "Woah! How'd you do that!?" "Well, it wasn't important earlier, but I'm sort of...a cyborg." "What!? A cyborg!" Ace exclaimed. "That...that's crazy! How?" Zoe questioned. "Well, it's a long and awesome story...ya got any gum?" And Zane made a quick explanation of how he became a cyborg, after all, he was trying to get home quick. "Well you just got ten times cooler in my book." Ace said. "Uh...I don't really know what to say." Zoe pondered. "Okay, we should probably get moving, there's a door over there, let's check it out."

yeeeeaaaah, i know that cyborg fact got out a little late, and you hate me for it, but i couldn't find a good point in earlier Chapters for it, now then, some mysterious writing music, and i know this is XTREMELY short, but eh, i'm feeling lazy today

Zane opened the door to be met with a pile of rocks blocking the way. "Dang it!" "I guess we can't proceed." Ace said. "No, I got it." Zane said as he whipped out his arm cannon. "Uh, are you sure that's a good idea?" Zoe asked. "Positive, what could go wrong." And Zane blasted away the rocks, leaving the door blasted with a hole aswell. "See?" "Yeah, I guess." "Now then, through the door."

Zane, Ace, and Zoe walked through the door, leading to a wide open space on a platform, a window viewer completely blocked with rocks and dirt in the distance. "Wow! This must've been so beautiful back when it wasn't buried." Zoe said. "True, the view would've been great." Ace responded. Suddenly, a boulder fell from behind them, Zane noticed. "Guys look out!" Ace rolled out of the way, Zoe couldn't react, and Zane tackled her out of the way just in time, the boulder crashing with a thud. "*Huff* That was *Huff* close." Zane said between breaths. "You...you saved my life." "That's what I'm here for." "Maybe you can save me more often." Zoe chuckled. "Then how about I save you down that elevator?" "Alright." Zane and Zoe got onto the elevator, forgetting Ace. "Hey! Don't leave me behind like that!" Ace rushed onto the elevator platform. "Oh, sorry Ace." Zane apologized. "Yeah yeah." Ace said, annoyed

Down the elevator, they were met with somewhat small room like places. "I'd hardly call this a city. It doesn't seem like a lot of people could live here." Zoe commented. "A city doesn't need a large population to be a city, it could just be a city of technology. Whatever happened down here to stop that development must've been big." Zane explained. "So where do we go to find that teleporter then?" Ace asked. "I'd bet that big facility is a good start." Zane pointed to a building off in the distance. "Alright then, facility it is."

let's go facilitating (whatever that means), Chapter 11: A Big Mess:

Zane, Zoe, and Ace continued through the advanced city, up to the facility that could lead to home. Things were barren except for the occasional pest that made it's way down. Conversation was lacking in this situation from all the tension arising from how close they were to this journey's end. After a time of walking, the group found themselves at the facility, near the center of the city. "Big place." Ace commented. "If the teleporter is here, we'll need to do some heavy searching." Zane assessed. "Let's head in." Walking up to the door, Zane found the door busted, forcing him to pry it open.

On the inside, the lights were on a flicker, Zane had to use his eye-light just to get constant visibility. Some walls were cracked, many things knocked over. "What a big mess!" Ace exclaimed. "It looks like an earthquake hit this place." "It's kinda creepy." Zoe commented, a bit scared. "It reminds me of some horror movies I used to watch." Zane said. "Anyway, we should fan out and start looking." "D-do you mean like s-split up?" Zoe asked, not wanting to. "I guess we might get lost. What with how big this whole place is." Zane pondered. "But we'll never get anywhere if we don't look separately." Ace pointed out. "I...we could lose each other and maybe get trapped or something." "Look Zoe, if you don't want to split up in here you can stick with me. Okay?" Zane offered. "That'd be great!" "Ace, you can look by yourself if you feel like it." "We'll cover more ground that way, I'll see you later." "Wait! Take this earpiece, that way we can keep in touch." "Right. I'll call if I find anything."

to the creepiness, Chapter 12: What Happened Here?:

Zane and Zoe traversed through the halls of the mysterious facility. "Zane, even if we find the teleporter in here, what are the odds it still works?" Zoe asked. "Don't know. I'd be stuck here though, and I'd rather not think about it." "'Kay. Hey, There's a room over here." The two entered an office type room. The walls were in better condition, and a desk had some papers on it. A lamp on the ceiling was lighting the room. "Hmmm, strange. The writing on these notes is scratched out." "Maybe they tried to keep this project or whatever secret." "Probably. Let's see what's in the drawers." Zane then noticed a rather large gash on the top of the desk. "Huh?" "What?" "Nothing. (It was probably just an animal.)" Zane looked in the drawers, finding nothing. "Well this room's a dud." "Let's look elsewhere." Just then, the lamp went out, and Zane turned on his eye-light. Zoe gasped and held onto Zane in fright. "Calm down Zoe. This place is old, that lamp probably went out from this place's power system." "But what if..." "Don't worry. If anything happens, I'll protect you. Okay?" "Okay." "Now, are we good to get moving?" "Yes." "Alright."

After leaving the office, Zane and Zoe continued through the halls, until they got a call from Ace. "Yes, hello, testing. Over." "Ace, what have you found? Over." "Guys, I'm in some sort of lab on the ninth floor. There's all kinds of equipment and broken containment chambers. There's a locked room on the far side that I can't get through. You think you can come over here and give me a hand? Over." "Copy that. We'll be there soon. Remember to call if anything happens. Over and out." "We may have found what we're looking for." Zoe said. "Yep, and with any luck, the teleporter will be right behind the door."

Zane and Zoe met up with Ace in the lab. Random science equipment and broken containment chambers were littered about. "This place is a wreck!" Zane exclaimed in surprise. "That's what I thought when I got here. I wonder what happened to this place." "So where's this door you were talking about?" "Right over here. It's strange how it was bolted down. I mean, whoever barricaded this must've really been trying to keep something out." "Or maybe...to keep something in" "Guys, I'd really rather not think about that." "Don't worry Zoe, I doubt anything's living in there. And even if it was, how would it survive after so long?" "I guess you're right." "Good, now let's open this thing up." Zane whipped out his arm cannon, preparing to blast. "Um, Zane, is that really such a good idea? You could collapse the whole floor!" Zoe warned. "Relax, I'll minimize the blast force." Zane blasted the door a few times, putting a large dent in the middle, and knocking it down. "See? The door is down, and nothing bad happened." "Alright, I was wrong." "Now to see what's on the other side."

On the other side of the door, the gang was met with a hall of cells, most of them broken open, another door was on the other side. "What the?!" Zane was shocked. "These bars have been demolished!" Ace yelled. "Guys, how about we get through here before something happens?" Zoe suggested. "Right. Odds are the important stuff is through that door." The three approached the door, each of them peering into the cells on the way, seeing nothing but darkness. "Great, another reinforced door. Have at it Zane." "This hall doesn't seem very sturdy, if I tried blasting it the hall could collapse. Fortunately I have a laser drill on my cannon that should cut through the door. It will take some time though." "Go for it then. It's not like we're in much of a rush." Zane began drilling, Ace and Zoe standing around bored while he did.

After a short time of drilling, the trio heard what sounded like growling. "Did you hear that?!" Zoe asked. "Yeah, it sounded like growling. Zane, how's the door coming along?" "Almost done, just a little longer." Suddenly, a strange green creature appeared from one of the cells, snarling fangs shown from inside it's mouth. "Uh...what's that?!" "I don't know..." The creature ran at the three. "But it doesn't look friendly!" Ace shot down the creature, it dissipated into what appeared to be Fusion Matter. Ace went to inspect it. "Fusion Matter? How'd a minion get down here?" "Ace, it looks like there's more coming!" "Zane, hurry up and get that door open!" "I'm working as fast as I can!" "Work faster then!" As Zane worked on the door, Ace and Zoe were left to hack, slash, and blast down the creatures, and yet no matter how many were shot down, more always showed up. "(Just have to break one more hinge...) Got it!" The door fell down. "Okay, through the door if you wanna live!" They all ran through the door, immediately propping it back up, and blocking it with random things in the room. "Now, I'm gonna use my laser to fuse the door back to the wall." Zane did just that, and made the door more sturdy so they could look around. They still heard the creatures banging on the door from the other side. "What were those things!?" Ace asked in panic. "I'm not sure. They didn't seem to be regular Fusions. This lab is in better shape than the last one, we might be able to find out something if we look around." The group searched the lab, on one the tables Zoe found a note. "Hey, this is some kind of note!" "Let me see it."

We were a science team making devices that could improve life. All was well until one day, a man came to our facilities. He said he had discovered an alien liquid substance, and forced us to try and combine it with a man, hoping to create a weapon. When we succeeded, the result was far from perfection: It created a creature with the mind of a human, and the body of whatever life-form that sample came from.
The creature replicated itself and eventually overran this entire wing of the facility. I have sealed them here in the hopes that they will never harm another. I understand the result of this, and have chosen to go through with it. This is my final farewell.



"Slim? But how?" "You know that guy?" "Yeah, but...he lived and died on my planet." "Look, we shouldn't worry about that now. This board says a teleporter was made in the far side of this wing. We're almost there, and there's another door that should lead to a ladder right there." "Yeah, you're right, but what if those things break through the door? We'd never make it back." "Then you'll have to go alone Zane." Zoe said. "I'm not leaving you two here alone." "It's the only way Zane. If I went with you I'd be a drag, if I stayed alone, I'd be killed. Ace and I have to stay or we won't get anywhere." "Zoe..." "Zane, do you trust me?" "Yes. Fine, I'll go alone." "Hey! Don't I get a say in this?!" Ace shouted as Zane went through the door and down the ladder.

In the blackness of the East Wing, Zane was left in the dark, having only his eye light for illumination. He could hear the strange Fusions prowling the halls, awaiting the arrival of their next prey, the occasional creature finding him, Zane making quick work of it. Every step taken was another step towards home. The whole area seemed to be a maze, twisting halls and corners all looked the same. At last, Zane had found a door that appeared different, an auto sliding door that barely functioned, it was quicker to force open. The inside contained a large pad and a control console: this was the teleporter.

"Finally! Let's see here..."Time Travel (not functional)"..."Exact Positioning (too complex)"..."Power Switch." Aha!" Zane flipped the switch, activating the machine for use, and turning on the lights, aswell as attracting the Fusion creatures to the room. "Dang it! Oh wait "Automated Defense System" Ah haha, Eat this!" Zane turned on the defenses, buying him time to turn on the teleporter. "Now let's see..."Interplanetary Phone" Alright! "Select Planet" Okay. "Planet CN" "Phone" Zane contacted the 7 Legends HQ, hoping to call Alice: which he managed to do. "Yes, Alice?...Okay calm down...It's a long story, I'll explain later. I may have found a way to get back, and I need you to gather the gang at HQ...Alright, I'll see you soon...Love you too, bye." Zane went to activate the portal function. "ERROR! ERROR! GENERATION PAD NOT RESPONDING! RE-ROUTING TO NEAREST GENERATOR! LOCATION: FALER CITY" "You gotta be kidding! Well, at least it's something, time to get back to the others. Outta my way!" Zane went off to blast through the Fusions, more determined than he ever was.

Zane rushed through the halls, slashing and blasting down the Fusion creatures in his way. The trip back to Ace and Zoe was fairly quick, yet resistance seemed to increase the closer he got to them. At last, Zane had made it, but was shocked to find the door busted down, Zoe on the ground, (hehe, ryhme) and Ace leaning on a wall. "Guys, what happened!?" "They...broke through...too many..." Zoe whimpered. "Yeah *Huff Huff* ...I can still walk, just a few cuts and scrapes. You carry Zoe, I'll follow as best I can." Zane nodded, picked up Zoe, and they started off.

The trip through the halls was no easy task what with all the Fusions lurking about, and it wasn't helping that Zane had to carry Zoe. By floor 3, it was becoming difficult to press on, the Fusions were relentless, and were increasing in awareness as the trio went down. Flickering lights also hindered clear ways of moving forward, and only aided Fusions in surprising them. In the end, the group made to the bottom and out, light was no longer a problem. "Yes, we're out! Zoe, you alright?" "Z-Zane?" "We'll be safe soon, hang on. Ace, where's the exit?" "It should be just up ahead. Let's go!" Through the linear path to the elevator out, Fusions were less abundant, yet to completely leave the lab. Though still many in number, the three made it to the elevator. Being exhausted and injured, no one wanted to make the long walk up the spiral stairs. "Oh great, stairs." Ace said sarcastically. "Don't be a baby, we fought an army of monsters, I think we can handle stairs." "*Annoyed mumbling*"

After climbing the stairs, Zane, Ace, and the barely conscious Zoe were back at the Shrine, being greeted by Mei. "Greetings. I trust your journey was successful, was it not?" "Mostly...Besides being chased by mutated Fusions." "Ah, so that is the disturbance I was feeling. A force from many years ago has finally been released." "Will you be alright if those things come up?" "You need not fear for me, I will be fine. You should return to your friends and complete your quest." Zane nodded and went to return to the long waiting Kyle and Ausi, Ace following close behind.

"Hey, where have you guys been?! We've been waiting here for hours!" Ausi complained. "I'll explain later, just get Zoe some help." "Get her to the car, we'll bandage her up there." Kyle ordered. They all hurried to the car, determined to save Zoe, fortunately, it was large and contained a variety of medical items. After patching Zoe up, Zane explained what happened after they had entered the Shrine. "So, the portal is somewhere in Faler?" Kyle asked for confirmation. "Yes." "Well even if Fusion Monsters are there, I'll be willing to follow you. Ausi?" "You kidding? I've been waiting for some action!" "How about you Ace?" "After what we just went through, I'd follow you anywhere." "And I guess Zoe doesn't have a choice at the moment." Ausi joked. "She's in no condition to be going anywhere, let's drop her off back at the town." Kyle ordered. "There's no time, that portal could close if the device back underground isn't stable. We need to move now!" "True. Ace, fire up the engines." "On it!"

Driving across the desert, the team of Zane, Ace, Kyle, Ausi, and injured Zoe were on their way to Faler. As they neared the city, it seemed as though the sky was getting a greenish tint. "Anyone else notice the ominously green sky?" Ausi pointed out. "Now that you mention it, yes." Kyle answered. "Ace, you might wanna speed up...Actually, floor it!" "Flooring it!" In the back, Zane was keeping watch of Zoe, when she began to stir. "Z-Zane?" Zoe said, her voice dry and soft. "Yes?" "W-where are we? What happened?" "Don't worry, everything's fine. Just go back to sleep, you need to rest." "'K-kay."

After a long drive, the gang had finally arrived at the Ruined City of Faler, the sky around it was dark and green. The whole place was surrounded by a surprisingly intact wall. "So, how are we getting around this?" Kyle pondered. "Explosion? We've got some dynamite in the car." Ace suggested. "No, too loud. It's obvious there's something evil going on in here, if we blew the wall we'd be swarmed with opposition." "Climb? I'll have you know I'm a skilled climber." Ausi bragged. "Then how would the rest of us get over?" "Uh...I'd open that big gate right there." "You know that could actually work. Ausi, prepare to climb the wall."

"Okay Ausi, you ready?" Ace asked. "As always." "Right, now get climbing." "Alright wall, prepare to meet your master." And Ausi began scaling his way up the wall. Meanwhile, everyone else had to wait around, with nothing to do, they decided to keep to themselves and think about whatever they wanted. (And since I know you all don't care about the others, I'll just focus on Zane.) Zane kept around Zoe, since she was still resting, his thoughts were elsewhere. Zane thought of how things might've changed after he'd left Alice and the Legends. He thought of his new friends, if he could call them that, and how they stood on this situation. Finally, Zane's thoughts landed on Zoe, he'd felt something about her since the dance at the party. Even though he'd only known her for a few weeks, Zane had felt a connection between them, and it almost seemed that Zoe felt the same way. After a time of thinking, Zane decided that when Zoe awoke, he would tell her how he felt, and, breaking out of his own thoughts, went over to her. "When you wake up, I don't know where we will be or if I'll still be here, but I want you to know that..." Zane ended his sentence with a kiss on the cheek. "Zane, get over here! It's time to move." Kyle shouted.

here we go, another installment, Chapter 19: Sneaking In:

Okay Ausi, we're all here, now what are you so jumpy about?" Kyle said over the radio. "Guys, it seems like this whole place has been taken over by Fusions." "We could figure that. Anything else?" "Well looking in the distance I can sort of make out their leader. He's sitting on a throne in some sort of arena. This guy looks familiar, but his face is covered by a helmet with three spikes on the front." "I think I've seen that helmet before, I can't remember where though." "Listen, the gate entrance to the city is heavily guarded, if I tried sniping them they'd see me long before I took them out. What should I do?" "Stay there, I've got an idea. Over and out." "So Kyle, what's the plan?" Zane asked. "Okay, we're gonna need cloth and some green paint." "You're gonna dress us up like Fusions, aren't you?" Ace asked, annoyed. "We don't have time for a complicated plan. It's the best thing I can think of." "Fine, I'll go get the supplies." Ace walked off to the car. "Now, anyone know how to sew?...Anyone?" "Alright fine! I can sew the costumes!" Zane blurted out. "Great, go help Ace at the car." And Zane walked off to make the costumes.

SOME TIME LATER: Zane finished the Fusion costumes, and everyone suited up. "So...do we just walk up to the door and ask them to let us in?" Zane asked sarcastically. "Basically, yes." "Seriously...?" "Yes, seriously. Now let's get going." Going to the gates, Zane, Kyle, and Ace had to be prepared for anything. Upon reaching it, the giant doors were opened. "(Suckers!)" Ace thought. Inside, the once glorious City of Faler was, as Kyle explained before, in ruins. Although the Fusions had somewhat rebuilt it for base uses, creating a giant arena in the center in the center of capital, the City as a whole was still destroyed. At the entrance, a group of guards stood watch, Zane, Ace, and Kyle now facing them: Ausi watching from above. "Who you be!" One of guards questioned. "We deliver supplies for boss." Kyle made up, trying to imitate them. "Where supplies?" "Uh...In bodies, useful transport." "We let in. You try funny, we take care of. Move along to cargo bay." The trio did just that.

The cargo bay lied where the city's market used to stand. Here, Ausi met up with Zane, Kyle, and Ace. "Good job out there guys, you totally had 'em fooled." Ausi complimented. "Alright, we're all in. Now what?" Ace asked. "I'd say our first step is to get into that arena. Whatever that thing was built for has be big. How to get there...I'm not sure." "Hmmm...I could probably stealthily make my way passed the guards, taking them out as I go." Zane suggested." "Maybe...But if you get caught we'll be fighting an army." "Look, it's the only chance we have. Every second we dilly-dally just puts us at more risk." "I guess you're right. We'll have to go with your plan, Zane."

MEANWHILE, AT THE EVIL ARENA OF EVIL: Fusion Matter production is going along at a steady pace. You should have nothing to worry about, Sir." The Unknown Leader reported. "I don't need to worry for that. What I must know is where that traitorous cyborg Zane got off to." "Sir, I assure you this city is impenetrable, there's no way he could get through here." "I made the same mistake last time, you shouldn't be so foolish." "There's nothing that rat can do! My fortress is impassable! I will not be defeated even if I sell my soul to death!" "You can do as you please, just don't be burned in your own fire."

sneaky passed the guards day, Chapter 20: Headaches:

Zane headed off to the arena, Fusion guards patrolled the non-destroyed or blocked off by fallen buildings streets, but with a bounty of alleys and bushes, sneaking was easy. The hard part of this matter was taking out the guards, as they were almost always in groups of twos and threes: Zane had a plan for these. With quick movements and proper timing, he was usually able to take them out without a hitch. When Zane didn't take out the Fusions quickly, he was able to keep the battle noises to a minimum, and eventually reached the arena.

At the arena, Zane called Kyle and the others. "Alright guys, I'm at the arena and the way is all clear. Over." "Great work Zane! We'll be there shortly." As Zane waited around for the others, he peered into one of the cracks of the arena. Strangely, the inside was not for sport, but for some kind of vat of disgusting Fusion Matter: pipes fed out from it into the ground. One could only guess what it was used for. "Woah! This is pretty weird." Just then, Zane got a splitting headache. "Urgh! What's...happening!?" "Zane...Zane...Come to me Zane..." A voice in his mind whispered. "Augh! Get out of my head!" "Come to me Zane...I can make all your troubles disappear..." "No!...GET OUT!" And there, Zane collapsed on the ground.

Kyle, Ausi, and Ace arrived at the arena, finding Zane on the ground. "Zane! What happened!?" Zane began to stir, and scraped himself up. "Huh...What happened?" "We just arrived here and found you on the ground." Ace explained. "Did anything happen while we were coming over?" "I...I remember a headache, whatever happened after that I can't say." "In any event, we're here at this arena. The portal and this big leader guy should be somewhere around here." Kyle assessed. "Then let's head in. The sooner we do, the sooner we can stop this plot."

Entering the arena, Zane, Kyle, Ausi, and Ace were greeted by three paths. The arena's center, the left stands, and the right stands. "Where do we go from here?" Ausi asked. "Let's see, the leader should be at the other end. The center is under constant watch, and if everyone's paying attention to that big vat...Then I'd say we should work our way around the stands." Kyle concluded. "That's an interestingly accurate observation you got from just the entrance." Zane commented. "Yes well I've a got a great eye...that, and one of guards dropped a blueprint." "Well alright then, we should get going. The more we wait around, the the sooner we'll get caught."

Traversing across the massive arena required more sneaking, and with more people, it was all the more difficult. The stands provided plenty of hiding spots, and everyone focusing on the vat of Fusion Matter made staying out of sight much easier. Halfway through, the group discovered a control room of sorts. "(Hmmm, now what are you doing here.)" Kyle thought, rummaging through the documents. "Aha! It say here that their terraforming this planet with Fusion Matter." "What for?" Ace asked. "The rest of this document's been worn down, I can only assume it's confidential. Let's see about these controls." Kyle examined the control console, only to find it locked off. "Dang! It's all locked down. The only command left is to increase production speed." "Then I guess this room is useless, we should keep...Agh!" "Zane, what's wrong!" "It's...Urgh!...Headache!" "Zane...They lie to you...They're not your friends...I am the only one you can trust..." "I'll never trust you! Stay out of mind!" Zane collapsed once more, The others stayed by his side until he awoke.

Zane woke up from his collapse. "Zane, you're awake!" Ausi exclaimed. "Huh?" "You collapsed again. Another headache?" Kyle explained. "Yeah...I think so. How long was I out?" "About twenty minutes." "Then we lost a lot of time. Let's keep moving." "Whoa there speedy, you sure you're alright?" Ace asked. "Yes, I'm fine, don't worry." "I'm not, it's just that these headaches you're having might be a problem." "I said I'm fine. Do you wanna waste time arguing, or do you wanna stop this plot? Either way, I'm going." Zane started towards the door. "Fine then sheesh!" The group left out to the stands, heading for the back of the arena.

Sneaking passed the rest of the guards, Kyle, Ausi, Zane, and Ace made it to throne room doors. "Well, here we are, the chamber of this mysterious leader." Kyle announced "Let's go in!" Ausi ran towards the door. "Wait! We don't know what we'll find in there, we should make sure we're ready." "We don't have time to wait around, the more we do, the less time we have to beat this guy. I say we just go in." Zane protested. "Zane makes a good point, in we go." Ace supported. "Alright then, we'll go." and in they went, through the doors of the throne room.

Inside the throne room, the group was faced with a long hall type room, a red carpet lead to the throne, torch poles planted along it. Sitting on this throne was the mysterious leader of this operation. "So, you've finally arrived have you?" "Yes, and we're here to stop you from corrupting this planet!" "I see. And I suspect that you want answers from me, and you shall have them." "Then tell us what you have to say." "This world is a wasteland, ravaged by Fuse long ago, it is the same for this city. Fuse envisioned all things to belong to him, corrupt by his essence: our plan is to fulfill that vision. Planet Fusion may have been destroyed, but we are making a new one, right here on this worthless rock." "Wait a minute, we?" "Yes we, I believe you are already familiar with his name, "Slim"." 'Slim!?" Zane questioned. "Correct, he is aiding me to recreate this world. Soon it shall all be just as we planned." "So who exactly are you?" "Oh I believe you already know. We've met many times before." The leader removed his helmet, revealing a familiar face, the face of King Dane. "Wha?!...King Dane!? How can this be?!" Kyle questioned. "Don't be so surprised, I've always envisioned what could be the perfect world. When Slim came to me just one month ago, he offered me the chance to create that world. Frankly, when all this ends, I'd rather not be on the losing side." "You...you..." "Let's avoid the vulgar name calling shall we? For now I'll let you see the man who started your demise." "Yes Dane, let's allow them to see who started it all." Slim appeared from nowhere. "Urgh!" Zane got another headache. "Zane!" Ausi rushed to his side. "Ahahaha! Look at that pathetic waste of skin. My mere presence is enough to set him off." "Ugh!...Slim!" "So weak. How about I show you something even worse?" Zoe appeared from shadow, still unconscious, into Slim's hands. "Augh!...Put her urgh...down!" "Now now now, Zane. That's no way to talk to your new master is it?" "M-Master?" "Yes, Master. That chip in your brain is still functioning, even after all this time." "Ahhhhh no!...Argh!" "You can't resist my control Zane. Now, come over to your new Master." "Ugh!" Zane's mind finally gave way. "Y-yes, Master." And Zane walked over to Slim. Every step seemed slow, as if Zane was trying to hang on for every second. "Let him go you freak!" Kyle shouted as he charged for him, only to be blasted back by a energy wave. "Get away from me!" "Shall we go Slim?" "No. You stay here, I'm going to the portal." "Yes Sir." Dane saluted as Slim teleported away, taking Zane and Zoe with him. "Where did they go?!" Ace questioned. "In the base room in the back. You'll never see them, though." "And why do you think you can stop us?" "I'll show you." Dane blasted Ausi with a ball of lightning. "Slim gave me power. Now let's finish this." "You're on!"
